Because of the way the frame is bolted through the underside of the car I wanted to make pulling the seat out as fast as possible without much faffing about if I wanted to pull the passenger one out for track days etc so I decided to convert the base mounted seat to studs so I can quickly from the bottom of the frame remove a nut and lift the self aligning seat on studs off.

More stainless fixing for the OMP frame a bit overkill with the spring washers and Nylocs but works well and protects against vibration.

Cheers buddy!

Yeah I love the bullets the colours work really well with the arctic blue and the anthracite!!

I was never a huge fan of the de wipered look myself until I saw the carbon blanks going around took me a while to source Chris but found him on here eventually nice chap and will I'm sure be glad to make you one.

Do spray shack still make these bullets or did they stop? Can't remember.
And cheers mate, I'll be sure to send a PM if the time comes to remove the wiper :)

Also fitted new rear discs/bearings and pads and as these tend to last for ages I decided to paint them to stop the edges and centre rusting, hate the look of a rusty disc lurking behind a clean wheel

Bearing was seized on and came apart with the old disc leaving the race behind lots of lube and a blow torch later it came of easily enough then cleaned up the stub axle

Lovely looking car and some excellent choices for track days.
Cheers buddy! Glad some people are still reading it I can imagine most if these threads are all but samey including mine lol wish I had more time to update. Hopefully ill be fitting my cage in the next week or so,

I plan on colour coding the rear and fitting a SD half cage with hopefully some triangulated modifications to the rear strut tops!

There's always something that gets in the way, but at least that way it makes you enjoy the car more!

Love the engine bay. What's your views on the magnacor leads?

Yeah your certainly right about that mate! Ive actually between now and the last update done quite a lot to the car just havent had the time to upload all the photos etc as its quite time consuming and ive never had a evening free where im not doing anything to do it!

Wit regards to the leads, they certainly look fantastic there's no doubt about that haha and being a thicker pure silicon i'm sure they'll have some benefit but then again so would refreshing with OEM more than likely as they were getting on a bit and looked pretty rough.

I certainly didn't really notice an improvement even combined with the matched inlets, new plugs and the IDK. Student loans were in a being a daft student I thought they would look decent with the engine mount and IDK haha

I did wonder about them. They are nearly double the price of standard ones iirc and you don't see much difference, but they do look smart. They suit your engine bay colourwise, as you have a few red bits.

I loved my old Ktec IK. It sounded awesome from 5k up!

I noticed you had "red" solid mounts. Aren't they the "race" ones?

Yeah they are pricey but arnt all things that look pretty haha!

Yeah the IDK does sound lovely goes well with the exhaust set up ive got!

Yes they are the harder race ones from vibra-technics that ktec re brand such a worth while mod! made the throttle response genuinely better something which i definitely did feel the difference, my old ones were pretty bad which didn't help haha

Right then its been a long time coming so I thought I'd pull my finger out and show you what I've been up to in between my hectic uni life think ill just let the pics don't most of the talking hopefully I can just mult upload by the masses on my iPood here goes....

Nope can't do that...one at a time it is copying and bloody pasting from photo buck haaarumpfh

Set about talking my wing off, to remove the washer pipe line, re locate the re wiring loom into the rear quarters and remove my roof lining...and gave everything a right good clean and degrease....

B65A90F1-A188-4C72-8F6C-78D8F32DCAB4_zpsugnnl87e.jpg

Removing the loom from the bootlid was easy getting back in was a tad trickier...

D33C4ACC-FE8F-40C4-8046-9DCFC67F64AD_zpsy9n8g6x5.jpg

I tied a load of cable ties together and taped these to the loom then carefully threaded the cable tie through the lid and pulled it through using the cable tie. Which btw wasn't the best things to use as where they joined together the square kept snagging on everything! Recommend some welding wire...

Back outside, haters gonna hate, bought some red silicon piping for the washer lines! So much structurally stronger and doesn't fold in on it's self or go hard like the crap halfords stuff and it was cheaper!

It too clean for tracking

The plan was to build a clean everyday track doable car, as I can't afford another car yet you slowly doing the track work to it the cleanest and best way I can and when I can afford another daily drive go full hog with this one.

I am pretty jealous of your OCD, commitment/motivation and knowledge. Puts me to shame!!

Wouldn't go as far as saying with knowledge lol I've still got a lot to learn! I did have a go at TIG welding though which wasn't a total distaster! I want this car to be my own build so will show you how I got on with that later.

This back one was a nightmare with the shape of the floor, I struggled with the tools I used anyway heat is your friend.

The weight quickly adds up and the roof one alone was 3kg

Bag of ice on the roof and a hose of water to keep the roof paint cool this is a must as you have to get the roof one pretty dam hot to get it off! its beast!
