So. I gave in and bought a DC2.

  Integra Type-R DC2
And I dont regret it one bit! 1996 spec JDM, 60k miles. Top Fuel air filter, Kakimoto zorst, Blitz HT leads and a Mugen manifold. Cant describe how much fun and how capable it is, but ill let the pics do the talking :D

Not bad. Doesn't feel like it's getting on a bit for 13 years old then?

Not one bit. I was worried the age would bug me, but you really dont notice it. Engine still feels quite tight and the interior is actually an alright place to be.

Looks tidy. Any plans?

Loads of niggly little things need fixing or tidying up. Want to get rid of the Kakimoto. Far too loud for me. After that, who knows... coilovers and some rota slipstreams?

Very tidy, always loved the dc2! If you dont mind me asking, how old are you and whats the insurance like? Is there specialist insurance as most places struggle to pick up regs for imports?

Cheers
Nick

21, 2 NCB's. Insurance was quite alot (im not going to post up a figure :rasp:), but I was initially looking at a 98 Spec DC2 which would of been about £6000. So the money I saved on buying a cheaper car went on the insurance.

If you decide to buy one, register on www.itr-dc2.com, theres a 20% discount to all members with Sky Insurance. They gave me a great quote and really knew their stuff.

Looks really nice. As you say get it lowered, some decent rims and a few 98 spec bits and it'll be spot on.

Glad you got one at last, i know you've wanted one for a long time

You'll love it mate :)

Cheers Rob. Im loving it so far, though you get alot of attention from other cars. Had a Saxo VTR (LOL, dreamer) and a Celica GT4 baiting me for a race while I was out taking the pics.

i think the JDm front end matches up with the rear end much better than the UK spec ones. i like both just as much but as a whole car the JDM ones are more suited, the front ties in with the back. the UK's front end doesnt suit the rear. still sexy though, looked at these myself, couldnt find a low miler though!

Very nice, I'd have a DC2 over a DC5 myself. Saw one doing what must have been well over a ton down the motorway and swerve, and it looked so composed. No twitching, nothing. Must be a right hoot in the bends.

Haha, I know what you mean. VTEC comes in and I just grin and hold on for dear life. Parada spec 2's make it interesting on greasy roads :S

lol try it with some fresh jap rubber lol, my rx7 had jap rubber on it, and i swear no matter how many burnouts or doughnuts or drifting i did, they wouldnt wear out, which is good but a bit of water and it felt like the rubber was made of glass and the road was covered in ice it was fun but scary too!!!

Great cars, my mate has the same JDM 96 speck as you. Vtec really screems! Love em! I didnt think i'd like it due to the age but i found it really grew on me

LOL. VTAK y0!

Lol, id like to point out that was on damp roads with ditch finder specials (Parada S2').

Lairy.

I was wondering when you'd see this!

Let the old man drive it the other day, got to hear the Kakimoto from the 3rd person for the first time. Must say, its not as loud as I thought it was. It actually sounds alright! Love the engine note on VTAK y0!

I was a bit worried about the age thing aswell, but its grown alot on me. For a 96 car, it hasnt dated that badly.
