Some studio work

I did a little bit of home studio work last Tuesday. Mainly just to test my newish Interfit triple head kit, and the Nikon 24-70 f2.8. I've finally got round to some editing, and here's the outcome:

I think you need to work on the direction of your flash a little bit as he face looks very bright in the first few shots. But good effort.

Very nice shots but as the mixed-choclates guy says the face is a litte pale in a few.
I personally LOVE the B&W shots mate

Cheers. She does have quite a pale complexion, so we were kind-of trying to sell it with good lighting. Definitely need more practise though. And a taller lounge to use as a studio.

Looking good, although the first three are a bit too high contrast for my tastes.

The lighting looks quite hard, did you use a softbox or similar?

We wanted the harsh look on the white background ones, so went with un-modified light. The others were all softboxed and beautydished.

Anyone done much studio stuff?

Iv done no true studio stuff but Iv used lots of lighting out side studio's.

Strong effort, but as a above the the lighting is pretty harsh in most, her facial tones in 5 are great but in the first 3 shes almost blown out .

Are you shooting in a living room?

I do a fair bit of product photography in a studio, but not model work. It's something I'd love to get into though.

I'm trying to do more family stuff, and would love to get into the fashion/model shoot industry. All just practice at the moment.
