spark plug blew out - helicoil size ?

Spark plug blew out, i searched the forums, can't find out what size helicoil do i need to get,

there are lots on ebay
m10, m12, m14 ?

im confused.com

you need to get ALL the sworf out or the rings will die.

IMO take it to a engine shop!

mine cost £90 i think to have done


3rd plug from the right by anychance?

no 4th plug popped loose. can i get a small magnetic tool to remove any stuff inside the cylinder ?
or what if i shoved down loads of air from my air compressor, could i blow the dirt up and out from the cylinder

If you have a hoover could you not get some really thin hosestick it on the end and poke it down the hole just a botchy idea lol.

if you take it too a machine shop they will get it out and fit the coil.

they used a micro hoover on mine

for the sake of £100

get it done at a engine shop

Thanks for the ideas,

I'm at my girlfriend's so unfortunately without my tools, I can't even get the engine cover off to have a look!

Forgot to say that no dash warning lights came on, if that makes any difference.

It does smell slightly of fuel under the bonnet when running, which makes me think you could be onto something with a spark plug having popped out?

If that's what it is, once I've checked, am I likely to damage it further by limping to Northwest Performance (the nearest specialist), or should I get a tow? It's only 3 miles.
