Spark plug wire snapped and plug still in engine, Help!!!

  Impreza Wagon
Just doing a routine service on the other halfs 1.2 Clio and one of the spark plug wires snapped on removal! It's broken off and left the rubber part around the plug and some plastic.

What's my options to remove it? I can still refit the wire but it runs like a bag of nails! It looks like the previous owner may have tried to remove it before as it's a bit mashed up.

seen that before a few times. long nose pliers have done the job of pulling the remains out most times. New leads needed ideally (which means a new coilpack on that car IIRC)

I'm taking it to the garage on Monday as I don't have the tools to attack it anymore! Are coil packs fairly cheap?

Depends on the quality - cheapo units can be had for around £23 but Renault items cost around £48

Thanks both, it's being dropped off this morning so hopefully they'll have it sorted quickly! I hate it when a simple job turns out to be a pain in the arse....

It doesn't help that the D4F has a ridiculously small plug wells either so getting tools in is difficult - These coil packs, especially the cheaper ones, can be a pain in the a$$ at the best of times. I had one in which somehow had two plug lead seals from the end of the trailing leads stuck on the end of one plug (probably due to the previous garage shoe-horning a replacement on) which meant a new coil couldn't be fitted... Had to bust the plug ceramic to get the plug removal tool on in the end.
