i collect the spare door cards tomorow then the fun begins

is it worth making pods for those speakers? surley a set of JL or Focal is more deserving. I guess you could always upgrade at a later stage tho.

speakers were free from vibe so will do nicely for now and they are actually quite highly rated for budget components

and yes ive done quite alot of fiber glass work before, this isnt the 1st time

made these few years back but they were only rough and quick

Me and a mate did a massive boot build for his Saxo once. Melted through the cups, through the gloves we had on and set on our hands. Right b*****d to get off aswell :(

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
the trick is to use thin layers and build them up slowly doing the next one while the previous is still a little tacky

created the new pod know which will hopefully fit where it should haha

  BMW F31
i have those vibe components, (was un getting the cable through the door lol) not bad speakers, running on an amp would be better i you can.

will keep an eye on this thread with interest :)

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
they will be amped, :D

think ill be getting someone else to fit them through the door tbh lol, not after last time .. nightmare

  BMW F31
tell me about it! lol

would never wire them through the door again, even the guide on here looks like a b**ch to use lol

  CLIO Iceberg 172
i have those speakers with a hefty amp running all the speakers (front and back) these on the front with an amp is apsolutly the nuts lol its very crisp sound quality with punchy base can handle a lot of power these due to needing a lot of power to run them...
there too quite on standard Head unit

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
they are only temp ones really as vibe sent them to me to test. and review

well see how i like them,

good work laura you dont see many girls doin stuff like this or blokes doin that quality work:cheers: :drunk: :hail:

Ah rite, Well they look mint, wont take too much to get them fitting good. What fabric are you covering it with, same as the origional door card fabric?

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
its a faux suade, but its not got much stretch to it so not sure how its going to work, close as i could get to the oem stuff

Could send it off to be covered once finished? Have a go yourself and if it does'nt work out get it done for you. I dont think when i have a crack at the speaker pods i will have the time to be sanding for a paint finish.
