Bought as much as i can new over the years as i've found things. Anything used has been refurbished (power steering pipes etc as an example)
I also have x2 ph1's as donor cars and box loads of bits from around 10 years of saving bits/breaking them 🥲.
There will be alot of ph1 bits forsale when i've finished my pair 😅

Few more updates, Getting time is always the hardest part! Replacement subframe/beam fitted. Power steering pipes on, new PS fluid bottle, coilovers/top mounts.
(Wishbones are temp!)
Alot of small bits in the bay in, Scuttle built up/all black bits ceramic coated by The Detailing Station and looking like new!
Likely forgotten about stuff but i'll just add a pile of photos 😅

Trying to get things as damn near on as possible 🤣 rear window stickers must have been chucked on by a random person at the time as none of the 5 i checked were the same. So stuck it in a similar place as best it would look.
New fogs fitted in coated surrounds also, the small details really do make it sharp 😎

Got a shift on it this weekend...interior is fairly getting on...And got to sit in the car for the first time since 2015 I think!?Will mix opinion i'm sure 👀
Have fitted ph2 grey carpets and Trendlines. Will likely get the doorcards trimmed in black alcantara to match the seats. Unsure if i'll run a rear bench or not yet but i'll price up a retrimmed bench also to match the trendlines.
Have fitted the trendlines without spacers to sit them lower, painted washers black to tidy up the holes in the carpets and to stop runners tearing the carpet 🤞Red front belts are a nice touch imo.
polished the speedo lense and put together a tidy cig lighter.
Steering wheel is temp for now, Have a brand new one in the attic but might also get one retrimmed all black.

Couldn't resist sticking these on this morning. Sill protection stickers. I got x1 set made for my own car with the Renault Sport colours on in keeping with the ph1 theme, Thanks to my mate Scott for sorting these!

Still have some oem ones in stock if anyones after a set.

What did you use to polish up the clock face plastic, or is it a new piece? Looks perfect.

Mate...seriously blown away every time I look at your updates to the quality of your work. All the replated bolts and new clips etc. Will really set this aside.

Mild cut with a da and compound cleans them up well, just like polishing a headlamp. I scratched mine by accident and recovered it in a couple of steady passes.

Suppose i should give an update...its not far off 2 years since the last one. Sure you will be pleased to know it runs and drives, And mot is provisionally booked 👀😆

Managed to get a pair of good rear quarter glass windows from breakers as they are NLA. Scott from Scott-Glaze perth popped in to get them in 🤙

I feel this post needs its own section, Its so laughable....If you're up this end of the world and looking for interior work. AVOID SAMCO INTERIORS LIVINGSTON.
Absolute roaster, But in keeping with every disaster this car has endured, Heres what a 6 month wait on doorcards got me.

Next up, Lets fit the refubed hubs I bought ages ago...More problems.
Turns out the bearing were pressed in/out on the brake tabs 😅 so caliper carriers were hitting the discs....
Refurbed another set of hubs myself this time, Jobs a good'n.
Front brakes/hubs etc all built now.
The plan was to go brembos. Did get calipers machined for going on the pms brackets but ended up just going oem to get things moving.

Had to move it outside to get a chassis out the back of the workshop for another project i'm working on 🙄 so here it is outside, Driven under its own power. First time in 8-9 years 😅

Nearly upto date -

Got another set of doorcards done, This time by a company called Transcal. They are absolutely fantastic. Ben was a great help, Giving me samples to take away to get as close to the trendlines as possible. Here they are -

Got most of the interior back together now, Unsure on the flocked bits...but they will do for now. Steering cowl was still boxed from getting it all done, wrapped in the Sun news paper....2016. No page 3 👎
Stripped the dash vents down to paint them black to blend in a bit better with the dash.
Seats need a good clean, but this will all be done when its away getting detailed!

Got various wheels for this, Still unsure what to run. Got some 2118's i've yet to get tyres on. Also got the 16" f1's refurbed but no tyres as of yet 😅
Bought some evo corse fondmetals. They are insanely cool but just dont feel they are suited for this ☹️ so have a brand new set forsale if anyones looking!

And the most recent update as of lastnight. Finally fitted my brand new hella headlights...these have been in the attic for a few years 😅

So whats left to do now?
Rear brakes to refurbish/fit
Finish off the rear of the interior/bootlid wiring
Airbox/cooling fan and some misc engine bay bits.
Alignment/mot/detail.
last but not least, park up and never use it and start a new project 🤙🤣
