I’ve not driven it. It doesn’t go out much let’s say and been off the road for a while. I changed the oil and it went for tank inspection but I’ve still got to do the timing belts before it goes out properly this year. I’m sure he’ll let me have a go when we do get out as he’s put me on the ins and hinted I can. I’m happy to passenger normally but I would drive the f40 as it was always my poster car.
Just being around it and working on it is pretty cool though. Just takes time to do stuff as you have to be so careful. The rear clam is crazy heavy and getting in the engine bay doing stuff feels like it’ll kill you if it fell. And you have to be so aware of your movements, parts aren’t cheap exactly. Crazy cars to look over in detail & to think it was available for the road all those years ago. It just looks and feels like a proper race car with some paint thrown over.
Not weird mate, I love a fast estate! Just seems a bit random for that car, unless it was built a long time ago.
Nah those weren’t available from the factory
mk1 was 3 door hatch only, I’m sure mk2 was available in both 3 and 5 door
