no you dont get the locking tools in the kit...

you need the cam locking tool, pulley locking tool and the crank locking pin to do it properly

Got the crank and cam locking tools if you need a lend but dont have he pulley one anymore. Sold it to Matteh

you got all the tools? don't forget to order new cam seals for the top end (comes as a kit from renault, complete with new VVT pulley bolt and seal, plus you'll need to order exhaust cam stud and nut

i have the cam locking tool and the crank locking pin, not got hold of a pulley locking tool,

i spoke to lemonnobby and he sorted me with all the parts he said i would need, don't think i have the exhaust stud and nut but was told by someone else that the old one should be fine to re-use

^no chance on gods earth! get new ones, you'll struggle getting the stud out the cam without causing damage, a new stud and nut is under £5

you have to use the pulley locking tool to get it right, as the pulleys flex/move when tensioning/tightening

you'll never be able to remove/refit the pulleys without it!

Also how much was cup alternator setup?

My cars had aircon pipes and rad, etc removed but the pump is still there because of the aux belt.

the set-up, well i got the alternator second hand off here for £80 unused
the mounts i was told were hidden in a laguna in a local scrappy, i got them and couldn't get the PAS pump off so took that too, all for £15

Head Seal Kit - 7701471629 -£21.59+vat
comes with inlet and exhaust (timing belt end) cam seals, new vvt pulley bolt, new vvt pulley cap cover, new exhaust pulley nut

stud for the exhasut cam - 8200778847 -£2.41+vat

cam seals for the gearbox end are included in the gates power grip cambelt kit, seperatly (if you use another cambelt kit as i am) they are 7700106271 £6.87+vat and 7700274026 £3.69+vat (seen below)

my kit for the work to be done, again some may find it handy...

cam locking kit and cam locking pin (thanks danlp6 / dunlop)

seals as mentioned above

alternator belt

cambelt kit (cup)

and nothing to do with the service, i posted these a little while ago

turns out i got the stud length wrong, the above studs were sent back and i am now the proud owner of 80mm studs...yay, these will also go on on thursday

i will be photographing all so will update thursday / friday i expect
