the great waving debate

hello. how about this.

my girlfriend, who has a 1.2 extreme decided that she would start to wave at any other clio.

in a 2 way trip to town, she got 0 waves.

in my 182, she waved at a guy in a 172 who stared at her like shed gone mad.

i then took out the 182 and got 3 waves in 1 hour.

and i am NOT waving at every clio. sport snob rules.

tell you what though- there are some real keenies in 1.6 etc. jocked up who want to wave and smile, which is nice. but where do we draw the line?

i think it is fair to wave at 172, 182 and williams purists. do you think we need some kind of policy on this?

If Id have waved at every clio on my drive to work in a morning Id have arms like Arnie!

People often wont twig its because of the car. Theyll just think you think you know them.

Thinks its a bit pointless to be honest. Why would you want to wave because you have a similar car? Friendly yeah but so what?

lol how true!!! I can sometimes be driving along in a row of 3 clios, they are everywhere and far too much traffic...

I dont wave at other Sport models either, they would think Im mad, in London... I dont flash them either as some random would probably shoot out of a side road thinking I meant for them to go...

Exactly. Youre looking at the other side of the road, but someone thinks youve let them out of a junction just ahead of you.

Eeek.

Dont try to be like Mini drivers.

Motorbike riders nod to each other too, and personally they are the only two acceptable times you should wave (and i mean the old shape mini, not the new poofs version).

Like i said before. My clio is called the clit......

Every c*nts got one.

If you waved to them all your arm would drop off.

I waited t let a 172 out once, and he oyut hius hand up to thank me, which tunred inot a thunmbs up when he saw the cliosport sticker

Im usually in another wiorld when im driving and dont notice other cars, unless they flash me or something

As Si says way too many of the bloody things round this way to bother waving at all.

I rarely post spotted stuff either unless I see a CS sticker.

I guess this depends, I mean I rarely see another RS and being a really car lover I would aknowledge another car like mine as its not a common site.

There are still a lot of RS drivers who have bought their car because they can rather than because they are a fan of Clios/Renault. They are the ones who give you blank looks!!

I guess its up to you if you want to wave/flash etc.

  cock mobile.

Ive never been flashed or waved at!

Have gave other people a quick wave, but never had it returned, so just dont bother anymore.

I dont have a CS Sticker tho, so maybe they dont like showing the love, lol!

Ditto or I would crash because of a combination of tramlining and bumpy as f**k Edinburgh roads.
