The New Phone Thread

The pixel 9 pro is pretty much all the phone most people will ever need. Perfect size, great pro cameras and great software.

I am thinking of moving to a smaller phone. Emily has a Pixel 5(?) normal one and its so nice to pocket compared to my S23 Ultra. Pixel Fold is also appealing but I worry the screen will break in half and stop working after a few months.

What do we think a pixel 8 pro is worth these days? No marks on it as it's been cased and screen protector since new..

If you want small z folding phones are amazing.

Samsung and razor are worth a look

Have you considered buying her this?

Unfortunately smashed one of my screens this weekend. New phone prices are sickening tbh so managed to find a cracking deal on a Pixel 8. Brand new in the box for £329.

I very nearly upgraded my pixel 7 that I picked up this time last year for £300, to the new Pixel 9 pro XL the other week. With trade in it would have been £650, plus a free set of Google earbuds.

But in reality the Pixel 7 is all the phone I need, I just fancied a bigger screen again.

Pixel 8 is a bargain for £329.

I'm back, what's the go-to phone these days? Anything new on the horizon from Samsung or other decent android manufacturers?

I went from Pixel to 23 Ultra (just before the 24 came out grrr) and I have been seriously disappointed, can't wait to go back to a Pixel. Samsung camera and battery life is fantastic but everything else is worse.

My wife got the pixel 9 pro the other day. Pisses all over my s22u which I regret getting. The camera on mine is hit and miss. Battery isn't great.
I'll definitely be going back to a pixel when mine finishes.

My s24 Ultra is a beast but not everyone needs one. The anti reflective screen is currently the only phone on the market to have it.

But the pixel 9 pro is the one I would go for, depending on size requests.

The 22 sadly is renowned to no be the best :(

Not surprised it went on a 2 year 300gb contract for £30pm.
Counting down til June (although I might hang on until the pixel 10)

Thought about buying a cheap pixel 8 pro instead now. Then trading it in for the 10 when it's new. They've always done really good deals on trade in for the new releases.

My wife got something stupid like £560 for her 2 year old pixel 7 pro.... And a free set of Google earbuds.

Maybe I'll do that when this contract finishes, go SIM only and then get the phone direct from Google as it'll probably work out cheaper.
