  Twingo 133 Cup,
Surely you could of just got a Japanese import for a lot less money and less stress. Would of been petrol so not as economical but even at todays fuel cost that's a lot of petrol! I hope the engine supplier sorts it for you and then It will keep on going!

To deep to pull out. I paid 5k for the car which is 2/3 cheaper than trade.

Ok so garage who supplied engine are going to pickup and deliver the car for 300 quid which is great. Negative side of that is that it might take a week to collect however they are going to crack on as soon as car arrives.

Paid 4200£ today for work that has been done.

That includes loads of additional work like oil cooler and seals, power steering valve and coupling, prop shaft UJ, torque converter refurb, box service, fitting of new shocks, drop links, all consumables plus a s**t load of nuts and bolts.

Still needs more work to sort other niggles with front Sam unit, parktronic ecu, drivers door lock mechanism and reverse camera. They want another £1200 for that which is using brand new parts.

hopefully I can half that by sourcing 2nd hand Sam etc.

Car had better be good otherwise it’s a insurance job….

Well it looks like it has been finally sorted.

Car was collected by company that supplied the engine for £150 and have stripped down the drivers side block and changed the head gasket again.

I wasn’t aware that they renew all gaskets on used engines up until we had issue with it fitted.

I am told it was a new MB gasket that failed and was replaced. No issues today during testing, letting it cool and testing again tomorrow.

I admire your bravery Sir.

Fixing a cruise liner that even it’s own mother couldn’t love.

Despite looking like it has been dropped on its head several times from birth it will serve its purpose well.

s**t loads of comfortable space with a nice cabin and engine.

Atleast I won’t see another on the road 😂😂😂😂

This is quite honestly the most petrol head behaviour i’ve ever seen.

Its in no way desirable but your commitment to force the c**t to do as it was intended is absolutely incredible.

9/10 will continue to watch the financial turmoil.

Spoken to specialist and they are happy it’s all sorted. Car is awaiting a valet and it’s good to go.

Will be a week or so before I see it as I’m going to get it transported back due to distance.

When it gets back I have new rear shocks to fit and then I’m going to remove front Sam unit and see if I can clean it up and clear errors myself before shelling out another 700 quid on replacing.

You're getting it transported?

Just drive the c**t you absolute vagina

580 mile round trip, there isn’t a day off that me and misses are together long enough to both drive up and collect.

One day many years ahead when you have kids (god save our souls) you will understand.

So far misery….
If your merc ownership has been worse than mine (let’s face it, with the bills you’ve had it clearly has been!) then I feel very sorry for you.

They are phenomenal when they work but get a bad one and they will eat your soul.

I’m thinking of slinging my E-Class to be honest. It’s been hassle free for 18months. So time to move on!
