  FTO GPX Mivec
Well,

Took my beloved 172cup on a 200+ mile round trip to Angelworks last Friday.

had 72k + Cam belt/Aux Belt + Inlet Match + Remap + Ind kit fitted.

can honestly say was worth every single penny!!!!

if anyone considering Angelworks for any work small or large scale you couldn't pick a better team!!!!

service, workmanship, technical knowledge second to none;

Thank you BenR

Well its a strange one, the best way i can describe it is like 5th has become 4th 4th has become 3rd and 3rd has become 2nd *BUT* without the loss of acceleration.

fuel ecom has deffo improved, was just over 30/32mpg before now settled at around 36/37mpg

the only downside is the exciting kick at 4500/5k has gone, however its been replaced with such smooth power flow over the rev range, once you get used to that, the car becomes very eager to earning you 3 points :)

Thansk Geoff,

have you only just got up from the drive home? lol

funny you should say that... managed to get lost on the Mway around Birmingham, somebody moved the M5 i swear!! so when we did get back pretty much fell a sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow :)

Since then i have been too busy driving my car around for no other reason then to drive it lol :)

Is it necessary to change the cambelt if you install these mods?
They just replaced my cambelt

Sure am, i've got a few template threads for them to choose from.

lol.

I had my 36k service done by AWT last month and took the option to get a go on the matched inlets too. I didn't start a thread about it, but doesn't mean I wasn't happy with the work. Excellent service and both Ben and his colleague have an exceptional eye for detail. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have known I needed a new driveshaft a week before warranty expired :)
I will be returning for a remap over the summer...

Ive already had the RStuning/Angelwork's inlet/manifold remap done at RStuning last week!

Who is the mysterious colleague? He must be good to meet Ben's exacting standards.

He's called a mech lol, i guess Sam was being polite.

And i dont let him do anything and everything round the workshop, i spend more time watching him than doing my own work. But you have to spend time training people up or you'll never get what you want just by looking for someone already with it.

by the way bens mech (I've also forgot his name) did my 24k service and fitted my matched inlets, top bloke!!

when its finished, you asking me every week isnt going to get it done any faster.

I've got plenty of already comitted work to get on with before i waste any time on development projects.
