Trophy thinking it's a 172 Cup!!

Well it did this morning. On the coldest day of the year so far the Trophy decided I had no need for ABS or ESP and to top it off the SERV light was on. It was like a Christmas tree looking at my dash this morning.

Great!! Anyone know what's likely to have caused this?

It's on Friday for a few things anyway but knowing my luck it won't play ball and do it again.

Check the rear sensor connections.

Do you have decent brake balance still?
PS no abs in ice is not a bad thing.

Could be brake pedal switch thing too.

With the roads as they were this morning I didn't try that Tom. That's what worried me the most though. No ABS is fine, but no ABS on a car which should have it means the brake balance is screwed!!

Not always, mine has the abs off and my balance remains as standard.

Did it feel weird?

this used to happen on my 172 ff on wet or humid days. used to run it for a few miles then when i could (trafic lights etc) turn ot off and on agin and they went out.

not happend for about 2 years now since i sprayed all the electrics with wd40.

Is the abs unit self testing before you drive off? you know the pulse you get through the pedal when moving off.

I'll check when I leave this evening. I couldn't tell this morning as I reversed off my drive on full lock all I got was the usual nasty feeling from the front tyres. You know the one, it feels like you have a flat.

Mine did this the other day i thought to myself thats alot of lights on the dash - I turned it on and off and it sorted itself out (i hope)

  Black 182
mines done the same in the 5 monthes I've had it - twice. Drive for a bit stop, turn off and back on again and...... lights all gone

happens on my 182 from time to time, but like a few others have said normally when the engines turned off then back on again the lights all go out. (Ps i have previously had 9 lights on the dash looked very festive):)

Brake pedal switch in my case. I'm not sure if it screwed the ABS, but the same lights were on, and it stopped my cruise control working :(

It's not done it since yesterday morning. It was fine on the way home and in this morning. They're still going to take a look on Friday while they look at the other faults.

It did clear 37k miles today though.

Lee - try adjusting the brake pedal switch yourself to see if that cures the problem before booking it in to a dealer.

The brake light switch is located at the top of the brake pedal lever, open your drivers door, get down on the floor on your knees, make sure car is out of gear and start engine (which will allow the brake pedal to travel further down because the servo is now operating), push the brake pedal down and hold it there, at the top of the pedal lever you will find a small pin switch, pull out the centre of the switch as far as it will go, it is on a ratchet so you will hear it clicking, then let the brake pedal up slowly to the rest posistion, that's it job done.

Cheers Mark, I'll know for next time.

It's just been done at the main dealers. They've adjusted it for me.
