Its running 234 bhp losing boost dunno why that is but because i have a 172 engine and a 182 ecu think its causing running problems. Im thinking it might be the actuator arm set to long so its opening the valve abit at higher booststill only 250bhp then??? i thought the boost was cranked and it was running 300+ ?
My car on its own weights 1140 on the scalesThey're 1300kg's dry though... plus fluids, plus driver lol
Boost goes up to 1.1 bar good then drops to like 0.5 trying to find out why234?!

Thats what i got with me in it 1140 withoutHow much? Are 182's really that heavy?

Turbo's too small? Power sounds about right for 0.5 bar tho, mine made 238 at that boost!
Does any car lolNothing ever goes right with this car.
Easy way to tell, just do a pressure test on the boost system.
block the inlet to the turbo compressor housing, I use a piece of silicon hose and a can of WD40. then remove any potential air leaks such as bleed valves etc. Then plug your compressor into one of the ports in the plenum and pressurise the boost system up to max 1bar. You will be able to hear where its leaking from. Then just go around and fix each leak, keep checking your boost gauge until the setting on your compressor are reading roughly the same, you may get some leakage past the rings so they may not be exaclty the same!
Thats one of the basics checks really suprised you haven't checked this before!
234?!

That's 'bodies, cams, stand-alone and £3k in the bank
Does sound very much like a boost leak. nice easy test is get it running and spray some brake cleaner at all the joins, if it revs up when you do this you've found a leak.
When you listen under the engine bay you cant hear a boost leak
Really hard to find a vacuum pipe for car though lolSorted then mate well done.

Need the one that goes to the carbon canisterwhich one? the one to the servo?
Thats what i had to do but wanted the proper thing reallyUse some 8mm fuel hose over the top of the oe tube
Need the one that goes to the carbon canister
why not just ditch the canister and the pipe? less clutter and even tidier
Dont run without it. Tryed it and just stalls enginewhy not just ditch the canister and the pipe? less clutter and even tidier
Its no good if it stalls not going to keep trying to keep it running when i stopMine does!!!!
I have ripped mine out.
