Ways for a MK3 Gearbox to become damaged?

  Not a 320d
Cars slammed, wondering if the gearbox could have become damaged from hitting speedbumps.

Or am I being a prize r****d because the sump guard protects it??

Goot the old beast booked in at Renault for warranty work and itll be £270 just to strip the bugger down if its not covered by warranty even though i cant see how 14,000 miles of use would have managed that.

unless its been damaged by an impact then it can't have really, but i think they will probably use that as an excuse as the driveshafts are at a different angle when its lowered.

do you drive it like a chav in a saxo?

Lowed clio = suspension warranty and related items voided I asked this before I had it done. I also spoke to a dealer and told them my situation and they said there would be no problem in having it replaced as the gearbox is nothing to do with suspension. I don't drive like a chav in a saxo no. My car is on coilovers and there are certain speedbumps that I scrape. Because they are ridiculously high and narrow. A guy with an F430 could not get out of the street because of them.

I was quoted something like 270 quid just to strip the box down to decide what was wrong with it. If its under warranty then it won't cost anything but I am thinking of possible outcomes.

I wouldn't take the chance. I'd raise it to standard height then book it in.
