Website certificates out of date????

  172 cup
My computer has been working fine, and suddenley today every website (yahoo, hotmail, ebay etc)I try to load I am told the 'certificates are out of date' by Norton Antivirus. It reccomends me not to continue with loading the websites.

I also notices that at the same time on my start menu loads of the programs, some of which have been installed from new are highlighted and showing as newly intalled.

Any ideas whats going on???

Cheers,

Tim.
