What disc to show JPEG/AVI on a DVD player?

  Peddled device
I want to put my holiday pictures onto a disc for two reasons..

1.I am binning my HD as it's fooked and l have a new one to install.

2.I want to be able to play my photos and videos on my normal Sony DVD player through the TV.

My pic's are in jpeg format and the videos in mpeg and avi format.

I know how to save to a disc but which disc should l use? I've just tried using an Asda 700mb 52x single use cd but it won't work :S

Help !

Your DVD player may not play .avi or mpeg either. You may need to burn it as a video not as a file if your not already doing that

Yer you might be better off making a video of the photos using video editing software like powerdirector or something, then burning that the same way
