I want to start a thread in the hope of us all learning who is maybe the best insurer for our cars, just give a post with the following info (like mine) :-

yes Daz - it was £820 with £300 excess or £630 with £1000 excess !! I know I wont crash coz Im a safe driver so I saved myself some money lol.

thats fully comp btw as well. I forgot to add that field in on my first post :<

All quotes were with girlfriend as named driver (which brings it down), protected no claims and guaranted courstesy car.

Present insurers Adrian Flux: £966 with 400 excess

Tesco(they use Direct Line): £744 with 350 excess

Norwich Union: £707 with 320 excess

Direct Line: £684 with 300 excess

Adrian Flux said that they would match anything, but may still go with Direct Line as Ive done all the searching around for them so why give them my business now. Although I have heard though that the these Direct insurance companies such as direct line, elephant and churchill sting you if you change your details on your policy half way through like car or modifications as theyve already got you so need to make their money some how.

Direct Line have taken nearly 2 years to sort out a claim for me, a van drove into the side of my car approaching a roundabout. They still are nowhere near sorting this..... they are useless....do not go with them.

Ive never had any problems with Reno insurance.
