Serves me right I spose for going to the immigrant car wash but the cut lip on my turbines are now buggered.:( They must use acid cleaner. The diamond cut lip has like a mayo looking colour in patches under the laquer. Must've got under the laquer and corroded the alloy a bit.

So I need to find somewhere that can recut the lip. Does anyone know of anywhere, preferably in the north west?

As far as I know most re-furbers can only polish the lips not cut them, is that right?

I would go along and have a word with the manager if I were you .. they need to be told if the products they are using are too harsh and causing damage .. and I deffo would be expecting them to pay the bill for getting them sorted .. :)

Maz, given the type of people he employs I really do doubt they'll listen as I have no proof it was them and not just winter grime. Plus cut rims are always susceptible to this unfortunately.

Is steveV6 still on here does anyone know?

My brother and i had a look at a 55 plate racing blue 182 at an independent dealer in nottingham, from a distance the car looked mint, got up real close and the whole car was covered in scratches and swirl marks, i was not really interested then, every car in this showroom was also covered in scratches/swirl marks.

We spoke to the boss of the place to point out that whoever is washing his cars is damaging them, his reply was "so what, it's not a new car it has been out on the road and used, it's just road dirt."

What can you say to an attitude like that, well apart from get to f**k.
