Whining on Idle...

Just recently my car has been making a slight wining noise on idle, not about 1000rpm just below. The noise isn't there straight away it only does it when the car has warmed up. Wether it's related or not the temp gauge on the dash alters between two and four notches throughout a journey. The car is a 2004 1.2 16v Dynamique on 54k. Thanks

tensioner on the aux belt? bearing gets worn..?

Have a look at the belt tensioners and belt tension there rubsih not cheap to chnage though realy.

Just had it in at the stealers and got them to look whilst the car was being serviced and they couldn't find a problem :S

Mine was whining and it was my alternator bearings 1.2 16v aswell
