Why are acrs so expensive ?

  Mk1 Clio
Driving up the A1 north bound today, driving back from lincolnshire.

Massive Crack in the middle of my Valvers windscreen.

Phoned insurance and according to them am not covered for windscreen damage just side windows.

Going through Admiral. TPFT.

So looks like I have to take the bill.

What is the damage going to be gettin new one fitted?

Cheers

IIRC windscreen cover is not covered under TPFT only Fully comp.

Ring around for quotes, you will find a bargain somewhere or possibly try scrappys but you may not have any luck there.

If ur TPFT with Admiral did you add the windscreen option? (see below)

Admiral windscreen cover is included free with Comprehensive car insurance policies, or you can add it to Third Party, Fire and Theft policies. Admiral's windscreen cover protects all glass in your car (except the sunroof) with no limit on the number of claims you make. Your No Claim Bonus won't be affected and you are entitled to free security window etching with the cover. If the damage to the glass can be repaired you won't have to pay anything, but if it needs to be replaced an excess of just £50 will apply
