Will a 1.6 RXE clio engine fit in my 1.4 sport?

Hi guys and girls,

As above, both cars are mk2, mine is a w reg 1.4 sport but has a bent valve and cant find same lump in any local breakers as of yet.

however i did find a clio RXE 1.6 R Reg. engine mounts look the same etc but would it fit straight in with regards to sensors etc?

anybody know?

also will my 1.4 gearbox fit it too?

gearbox will fit and engine will mount, a s**t load of hastle to get it running though wouldnt just be a straight swap wiring wise

thanks for the reply martin, what would i need wiring wise? ECU, loom, Key, ignition and clocks?
