Will I get the emmissions light on on a 172 with 182 mani' and link pipe?

As above. I've looked at the pictures of the 182 manifold and the link pipe and there appears to be a hole for a Llambda in each.

Am I right in thinking that blocking the second hole and boxing up the lambda will prevent the light from illuminating?

If you don't have a Cat then the light will come on if you've plugged the second sensor in.

But just don't plug the second sensor in and theres no problem.

DON'T PLUG THE 2ND SENSOR IN!!

I did and had terrible running problems... TERRIBLE!. Unplugged 2nd sensor, plugged it... and runs like a dream

Every now and then the emission light still comes in as the car isn't stupid but after about 100 miles it goes out again

surely there is only 1 hole on the link pipe though... and one after the cat?????? What you said doesn't make sense

if this is the case, i would put the 1st sensor in the manifold, plug the one on the link pipe, and then plug the one in the cat/de-cat pipe.

You basically want your first sensor connected in somewhere, and the other not..... plug all other holes lol
