Williams or Ph-Quick 172

  Looking for a ph-quick...
Im probably gonna get beaten up alot by the Mk1 guys for this but im thinking ahead about my next car. I'll give you a clue......Its gonna be a Renault, and its gonna be a clio.......But which one!!!!!!

After long hard thinking its gonna be a willy or 172. i may even be tempted by phase 2 172 but after being a member of CS and clio fernatic it seems the Ph 1 is a better car (Please correct me if im wrong)

I love the character of the williams and would love to say ive owned one, but the 172bhp of the RS seems more appealing. Fresher styling and the possibilty to tune not for from 200bhp is a big plus.

Whats people opinons? Im not gonna be changing immediately but i aiming before the end of the year/early next year.

Clearly the RS will be slightly quicker yes? but i will be wanting to tune it also. Driving experience, power, handling, there all contributing factors!
All comments appreciated!

Thanks
Amir

Driver involvement seems to side with the Willy, and speed isn't much different. But then you'll probably have to fix it more often and it won't be as refined, with less goodies...

day to day I'd have a 172 if I could live with the looks, thats from a noise, reliability, cost to fix/run point of view. for speed, looks, handling I'd have the Williams... but only as a weekend/track car. some people have no problems with either car, in which case it's personal preference, but all I was arsed about was how well it handled and went as that's the reason I bought one

i have a ph-quick love it great car, never driven a willy but would love one as a track car or project
its a tough decision but go for what you like better

I'd go for a Williams only a good one though and whilst it might have more trouble you'll fall in love with it more.

this is the same dilema i'll be facing and as much as my heart says williams/hybrid i know i'll end up with a phquick 172 just for the reliability side

As great as the Williams is, its old now! Id get the 172!

How about not being so dull and getting something different to a clio? ;)

Revels106 = biased

;) lol

My valver has been *touches wood* near perfect for reliability enginewise - only died once and that was due to a dodgy earth apparently.
