wotz dis bout an ibiza splitter on mk3

hi all, i have been looking at summat different for the front end of my car. whats this about ibiza splitters? is it off the current ibiza? what age ibiza? do they fit straight onto a mk3 clio? i would like some assistance on this, well more on what spliter to get. is it plastic? or ready to spray? ive heard they are £20. is this true.



please magic people, answer my questions?

havent seen an ibiza on a mk2 before. most sell second hand for about £20, and are standard black plastic.

what year are these splitters? i know little about them but seem quite popular. i want a cheapish but affective front splitter for my mk 3 clio 2002.

Ibiza splitters that you see on a lot of cars wouldve been on models around 96 or similar - roughly £25

Laguna splitters are more expensive at about £50 odd snoots and are found on 95 models or similar. (this is from Renault)

If fitting the Laguna one all you have to do is offer it up to the car and splice it in the centre - taking out a certain amount of plastic so its the desired length - the corners are nice and flexible so you can bend it round. Its got nice little slats in it too!!

Why not just get a Cup splitter - thatll be a perfect fit!!

i have a 2002 clio. sorry if anyone was confused by the nk3 thingy. its a 2002

2002 is still a MK3 so all the above applys.

Dont know how much a Cup splitter is cause it came with the car!!!!

Seen an Ibiza splitter but never fitted one!! - look deep and nice

Laguna splitter - ive fitted one with a rivet gun to a CRX MK2 and it was a perfect fit - no cutting except at each edge!!

Im sticking an ibiza one on mine once ive done a few other bits and pieces, think my mate paid 22 quid from seat for one.

got the part number if i can find it - theres a pic of one fitted to a dynamique on here somewhere as well by the way.

dont do it mate..in my opinion unless you blend theminto the bodywork they will make you car look terrible....get a laguna or cup splitter..wot about the ktec 172/cup kit?
