Meekings Boosted Bean :D

SOOO back again with something propper this time.

Started a couple years back with a dci 80 which in my stupidity got written off!

Then onto the next one being a dci 65 that I done a considerable amount more to and loved to bits!

Unfortunately this went bang due to a polite van driver putting a wave over my car as I was going through a flood.

So AlexW came and brought that off me as a repair job which is when I found out about the inferno.
I did own something between now and then but I won't mention that ;)

Soo anyways on to the good bit.

It has done 100k however it's just had the belts done, new alternator and power steering pump fitted.

There was a few blows in the exhaust as it was the original ones which we all know are kak. However within 3 days of having it this happened

Was a tad on the loud side if I'm honest but Alex was a saint and went and picked up a replacement from Darby and fitted it today!

Other things I have added are a full alpine audio setup and my bucket seats from my old dci :)

Put some slick50 in today to try and help reduce engine ware a little.
Lots of little goodies on order this week and many plans for it too!

So happy that I've made the step up to getting one!

Not bad for a 19 year old if I say so myself! :)

Good to see that went to a good home. Saw it last weekend and commented on how clean it was.

Don't worry about mileage mate. Now all those keys bits are done it'll go forever. I'm sure you'll have regular oil changes sorted so it'll be top. At least this ones got arch liners ;)

Nice upgrade!
Cheers! Soo happy with it! Although the running costs will be a shock to the system lol
Nice seats! What r they
There only a cheap brand, autostyle iirc the misses got them as a birthday prezzie. Surprisingly comfy for what they are!
Now, don't break this one.
I don't intend to! Would still have my rep if it wasn't for a douce in a van!

Yeah I plan to take care of it, I kept all my cars well maintained. If it needed doing it was done, this will be more so!

And yeah I let the arch liners slide after a while as I lost the rears through wear and one of the fronts wanted off the car... Lol

When you're used to DCi running costs, 50/80mpg, £20/30 tax, a 2.0 doing 26/34 MPG and £145/260 tax is a shock.

I agree but then if you want to travel at 1.2 speed it is bound to be cheaper, for an all round car though, they are great value for money!

True to a degree. The only down to the dci is acceleration which is terrible, can't hide that. My dci still takes me from my house to Bournemouth in 1 hour 40 which is quicker than the 182 as I'm not crying at the 27 mpg

I beat a pimped 1.2 the other day on the m3 I'll have you know

She was a beast and needless to say drank on a "run". Saw 47 when taking it really slow on the same journey. Took 3 1/2 hours though....zzzz

Small update as goodies arrive,
Today saw the arrival on some cree sidelights and a k&n panel filter, haven't actually driven it to tell if there's any difference,

Also I de badged the boot as I hate them lol

So that's it for today! :)

Another small update,
Got some carbon wrap in the post, yeah not to everyone's taste but I like it!
Done the exhaust trims as they are horrible and faded, dash strips and wheel insert.
Also have stickers for them too!
On a nicer day I want to take the rear bumper insert out and fog surrounds to do also.

Alloy foot rest (no pics as I'm waiting for new mats first)
Got some wind deflectors too! But cars to dirty to get photos.
Having a problem with the passenger window not closing because the seal is too tight ):
Need to sort it out as having to hold it out to close the window is a pain in the arse!

More soon! :)

With the deflectors I believe you're suppose to put the window up and down a few times making sure you help it up to it's top position. Do it with the engine running as it gives them extra boost. Then leave the windows up for at least 24 hours. If you've done all that all ready then I apologise :)

Wrap came out well

Yeah my door trim has shrunk back though so the deflector sits back to far and stops the window going up! Works If I hold it out so hopefully it'll settle if I leave the window up as you said!

I don't normally have the patience with wrap but it came out ok for once :p

Align the exhaust.
Seats sticker look like they want to be more in the center.
No mention of me fixing your boot.
Wrap looks good though.

<3

Im confused, i thought the badges etc were going grey? OR is the organge stickers for the inside/grey for outside?

If I didnt mention I like the colour of this too!

The exhaust tips are welded to far apart ): might be able to centre them more but Alex did fit it in about an hour in stupid heat so wasn't for perfection just to fix the broken one!

The seat ones are pretty central it's just the "sport" that makes them look off centre!

And yeah mallet fixed my broken boot solenoid that I didn't mention!

The badges are going grey, as are the wheels, but the orange is just to brighten up the dull interior! :)

I really want to get on with the wheels and lowering it as it'll transform the look of it! Just monies ): insurance is coming out on Sunday ):

:) and I paid £500 extra for the 182 on a £600 policy that I had for the previous car, I know that's redicilous by everyone else's prices but bare in mind my first clio cost me 3k to insure! And I've had a accident and I'm only 19! So it's kinda reasonable!

That aint bad! My insurance wasnt far off that when I first had a clio (Whenever that was) just wait till your old like me & its cheap.

I was expecting your insurance to be like £5k tbh.

That carbon wrap looks 100x more realistic than the the stuff I used on my old 1.6. Good job mate :)

I especially like the stickers on the back of the bucket seats, like you say, they brighten up the interior a bit :)

It's that new 4D shizz, looks much more realistic than I was expecting!

Love the CF exhaust surrounds, they look brill. Exhaust doesn't sit very centre in the cutouts though! This is how it was on mine

Yeah ill get them sorted soon! :)

It was a proper rush job. I'll be sorting it soon.

Damn right you'll be sorting it ;) I shall be booking in the next bit of work next month :)

So over the past couple days the postman has been good to me again bringing me my new mats!
Not everyone's cuppa I know but I like em!
y7esequ8.jpg

Can see the new footrest too :)

And more importantly my v5 with my new reg turned up! :D

Couple of renault f1 team stickers been added which you can just see the yellow on.

Again not to everyone's taste but I like em :)

More to come this week hopefully! :)

Soo been busy this weekend!
Had scaryopa and his other half over for a night out but naturally we had a play about with the cars!

Painted our upper grills satin black and put on the RS colours, I painted my engine cover, diamonds and bullets anthracite in readiness for the wheels when they are done,
Also done a bit more carbon wrapping and Shane wrapped the lower rear bumper for me :)
Few piccys:
