Started the making of my dash cam rig for the track day. It's consisting of one of these:

I'm then going to get a pole from B and Q or homebase and drill four holes in it and get the U clamps around the headrest poles

Got a car corner weighted today. It was fantastic. I also saw a fellow clio 182 owner of the Arctic blue variety. Got it on dashcam as we both waved to eat other it was great wkkl upload tomorrow it's pqrty time tonight

These were the final values for the corner weighting, it was the first time they'd done it and we were kind of left to our own devices so not sure if it's set up perfectly?! Totally new to this.

Then today I set about fitting a new rear number plate light cover as mine was faded a bit. I've waxed this one prior to it going on

Then voila! Some how managed to get the distances wrong a little bit so it's not bang on central where the U bracket clamps for the headrest pole but it's fine it's absolutely solid. really pleased with it to say how easy and cheap it all cost.

How much did he charge you for that mate?

Was that the final corner wrights at the bottom? How much fuel did you have in? Still quite substantially out is that. I hope to get mine a lot closer. I know the fronts are more important than the rears but 35kg difference in the rears and 15kg up front is a lot still.

Did you have a before and after weights???

The bottom two readings from the first pic are the cross weights and you want that as close to 50% as you can, which it is.

Yeah that's true, the differences between them cancel each other out, just seems a fair difference between side to side on the rear..

It could be better yes, although it should handle fine in the corners. No doubt it's better than before it was done.

Soooooo today was f**king awesome! Did my first track day in the Clio (organised by the trials biking forum so it was a closed event to just 12 or so of us)

Absolutely loved it so much and there will be loads of pics later on but for now I had some footage from inside the car. I felt like the car was really decent on track and i'm loving the coilovers so much. They're pretty soft but felt like they handled the abuse really well.

I definitely need more tuition but I wasn't there to set record times, just there for fun and it was exactly that. The main things I had trouble with was wheel spinning out of corners and I imagine that's why people say LSD's make such a difference on track. I just found it hard to be smooth with the throttle and ended up losing quite a bit of time there, along with where to brake but I guess that will all come with time. I'd quite like to go about sorting out polybushing a few things now though just to stiffen things up even more. I felt myself progress through the day which is sweeeeeeeeeet.

Here are some clips, the first two clips are the first clips of the day if you look at the time stamp in the corner at the bottom left of the screen. Then it jumps to around 3.15pm where hopefully you might be able to notice some progression

Awesome mate! Yeah defo noticeable improvement later on! Tbf that is one hell of a twisty tight course... A LSD would defo help there that's for sure!! If you take it over to Germany you won't need it nearly as much especially with track tyres up to temp [emoji2]
