As some of you may know already,i had an accident in my Cup & hit a barrier. In a nutshell,Raining very early cold morning on AD80rs (close to the limit) back end stepped out going up a banking corner.Still Drives fine tho, just wasnt worth me repairing,So decide on getting a 182 but in Silver.

So i found one and got up early on a Sat morning to head to south wales.

So this one is on 53k 2 owners & one of the very last ones & standard, previous owner also has a lovely Mars Red V6.

So plan is to get all the good bits off the cup & transfer onto the 182 then break or sell the cup as a whole car.

Couple of Photos of the Cups damage

Also swapping over the wishbones from the Cup as there only 2 years old, just going to change the lower ball joints on those, along with Braided Brake hoses front & rear and front caliper,as the ones on the Cup have been rebuilt with New pistons, sliders & seals.

Once all done i will be getting the Alignment done.

Then a Remap at Engine Dynamics😁

Still not had a chance yet to give it a proper Clean & Detail, wrong time of the year tho for that i think.

Looks lovely mate, did you add spacers up front too?
What size did you go for?
It sits so well. 😎👌🏼

Your clios always look so good and clean looking. Good progress there. Where Do you get the alignment done?

Thanks Very much mate👍🏻

I go to a Place in Witham called Tyre Smart, used them a couple of times now and is a decent smart set up of a garage. Also they use the Hunters set up

How you finding your 182 compared to your Cup?

Not to much different now ive done a front end suspension refresh and alignment.Only thing that maybe is a bit different is the engine,as the cup had been remapped at ED on the rollers, which i will also be doing on the 182 in Jan.
I have still also got to fit the braided hoses and also discs/pads to the front.

I have always found aftermarket exhaust systems sound much nicer on the 182. I think partly down to the rear box layout and the lack of spare wheel well. The RB 182 I owned sounded lovely. I have never managed to replicate this on any 172 I have owned. I have definitely owned my fair share of both in various stages of modification!

Think your 182 looks lovely. Every time I look at pictures with the number plate in the 06 registration makes me look again.

I agree,i changed the exhaust on the cup twice & still wasnt perfect.
I also changed the exhaust on the 182 twice as it did have a non res ktec system which was to much for me & didnt sound right, now i have the Janspeed with centre box plus the decat & is perfect now.Nice sound just driving about normally then giving it some stick with the decat has a nice rasp to it without it sounding like a fart.

Managed to get a few little bits done this weekend, first off was new front wheel bearing nothing to interesting.

But i also painted the calipers as i couldnt stand the painted red calipers any longer, along with fitting the 197 style rear RenaultSport badge as i think this is the best rear badge, simple but modern tidy. Also gave the bullets a freshen up with a lick of paint to tidy things up.Will get some better photos up tomorrow once i have fitted back the bump strips and a wash.

Look over Febi sway bar bushes in 6 month, mines simply crack in almost half an year.
Engine mounts from Febi are good.

Best place for them goodridge hoses is the bin mate

I'd rather fit washer hose than them bags of shite
Interesting, one friend does use them on e megane and they failed. I have in Romania a friend who has all the assembly line and make for me custom ones, they hold up fine. Maybe he is more careful...

For the Clio they're manufactured too short so they foul on the shocker

Then theres the fact that the fittings are absolute garbage and dont seal properly

Well you are right, because at max turn, the hit the damper and wear down the seal. Now I have them for 225 calipers and are fine, a little longer due to banjo connector. I forgot about the last ones.
