Steam Cleaners?

Anyone use them? Any good?
They’re brilliant if you’re doing lots of cars. But once you’ve used them on a car once you don’t really need to use them again. Unless you live like a pig. 😂

I have a Karcher one and I do use it a lot to be fair. Door rubbers, air vents, pedal rubbers etc etc all look like new after.

Cheers mate!

For the money I'm gonna spend on one, circa £70, I can see it paying itself back in time over the long run. Plus I can use it round the house too. Win win!

@Sunglasses_Ron
It looks like the same fitment of your lance.

But the shitty little bottle that came with it goes in right at the end of the lance with this fitting.

I'll have a look for that one you posted as it looks to be the correct type to go halfway down the lance.

Cheers pal.

Reminding me how hard it is to image red! Especially 50/50. Polished with Perfect finish and 2 new yellow rupes pads with Bigfoot mkiii.

Finished in infinity wax supergloss spray wax. Tyres with sateen (still awesome).

We painted the calipers and done the wheels silver. Off to get the grilles changed to chrome and a new updated exhaust system (not heavy noise).

And throw those dreadful number plates in the bin?

I'm after some proper wheel acid. I bought some house of wheel acid a while back and it's great sadly they don't have 5litres.

I've seen spotless on eBay that seems popular. Anyone recommend anything.

Anyone got one of the non lance type pressure washer connections, looks more like a paint spraying gun.

I’ve been trying to find the ones for on a load of detailing videos but not sure what to call them.

Do you mean a stubby trigger gun?

You need some thing like this with plenty if hydrochloric acid in it. Horrendous stuff by very affective.

I’ve just ran out so keen to see what you get. That house of shine acid stuff was cracking

Yeah I like it. I got mine ages ago and it's a proper MTM one which is really well made.
and its useful. It's not a game changer, is there ever anything that is?

I did indeed, now to find the right fittings.

This the best one of these?

What sealants is everyone using currently?

Looking for something with 12 months durability minimum as a base which I can the tweek using nice waxes in the summer etc. Also needs to be something that can be applied on the driveway and doesn't need to be cured for 24+ hours. It's a long time since I've dabbled in this!

SiRamic Lustrous graphene spray sealant. It’s absolutely mega.

Edit @MatthewR sorry mate I didn’t read you post properly. I didn’t realise it was a ceramic coating you were after.

I’m pretty sure @Gally said the CarPro lite coating was really good.

This is about the strongest stuff I’ve used. (Different brand but I’ve never seen stronger than 32% so it’s probably the same stuff re-branded)
If it’s a windy day, don’t do it. It’s f**king ridiculous and makes your face feel like you’ve fallen in to stinging nettles after a full day of sunburn if you get blow back.

This is a great ceramic and super easy to apply. It's on my daily, (I used to have the 1 year version on it which lasted over 18 months in the end).

I used Gyeon Cancoat on my wife's car and it's phenomenal, topped up with Ceramic Detailer. Can't imagine anything being better but the car is a pearly white so it self cleans quite well.

I've got the 1 year version plus infinity wax synergy ceramic quick detailer which is great for topping up the original ceramic coating.
Like you said. It's dead easy to use.
