Difference in chassis/suspension in mk2 non-sports ans sports

Hi, currently driving a 1.2 clio fully stock with a rear seat delete and its buckets of fun, im way too young to afford anything with more power so its perfect.

Recently got offered some soils and shocks from a 172 and was wondering whether theyd fit a non sport and whether theyd have the same improvement on handling

What springs are on the shocks?

I'm sure sport springs are stiffer than 1.2, but most sport owners change to Eibach (sportline) to get more stiffness and drop, I run a set and enjoy them (on a 1.2)

The shocks most likely won't fit on the front due to hub spacing, the rears are interchangable

Can always throw the springs on and see how you get on

rears would fit but not the fronts the hub bolt spacing is different.

As above, rears will fit.

Front struts won’t fit. You wouldn’t want to fit the springs as they’re for a bigger engine and won’t suit your small engine. If anything it’d raise the front and/or make it too stiff.

If you want to lower it then there are some springs available for fairly cheap.

the 172 springs will lower it still, but your correct the spring rate would be off due to the weight
