GDI 227bhp ITB`d 172 cup
before any work was started; (wiv standard number plate lol)
the throttle boddies!!

got pic`s of the front wiv no grill, will put up in abit. n yes it is the grills either side of the reno diamond that r missing, don`t fink it will cause damage cause there is only the rad (which will get changed for a smaller alloy 1 soon) n the alternator on the other.

That vid was on Andy's driveway Stu, we only got upto about 30mph
well, mine will be dropped off soon, you are more than welcome to pop down to GDI and have Andy take you out in it and even have a go yourself if you like

going to be dropping it off in the next couple of weeks. I'm basically just waiting for my run about to get tax'd and mot'd. Either way, it will be down there a while as I have nowhere to put it whilst I'm moving house and the work to be done wont be an overnight thing eh Andy? lol
it's just the same as mine, so moved over to one side and tilted yeah. No real point to running an aftermarket rad other than they look better and neater. Rad is last thing on my list and tbh will probably never get done as I'd rather put it towards the engine and handling.

I am slightly put off by cutting bodywork to get the ITBs in. I spoke to Jenvey a while back and a custom rad with 22deg bends to point the filter under the slam panel was suggested.
I think with a bit of thought and a custom rad and airbox a much tidier install is possible.
Fair play though an ITB'd cup must be a bit of handful, roll on winter

nothing has been cut though, it's a bit of plastic that has been removed.
as for the airbox, not seen anyone use them and am guessing there is a reason for that. Foam filter is a lot cheaper too

Air box will be a cost thing. Same as custom rads arent used due to cost.
So is the slam panel completely removed?
Is the slam panel the bit with the bonnet catch in it?

no the slam panel is removed. There would be no front if the cross member would be removed although air flow would be fooking awesome lol!!
we left his grille out because he didn't want the metal ones stopping airflow!!
