Will paint the rears red at some point, cant really see them behind the 2118's so im not fussed. Would of done it today while it was all off but just could not be bothered,

Next up is more bleeding, some brake cooling and the powerflex black suspension bushes

Also need to get out and bed the brakes in + see what the new rear camber and toe is like!

lmao @ going from looking at the AP front's to the OE rear's hehe

thats hella clse to the inner side of the rim :) maybe a little to close

its not as close as it looks because the wheel drops away, iv got the balancing weights on the inside aswell and they clear the caliper,

been doing some driving today and there amazing, but iv been taking it easy and the pads are only ds2500's

will take the front wheels off tomorrow and make sure everything is ok.

Im also not sure iv got the caliper anti rattle clip in the right place, I think the discs are on the right way ... lol

lol mell mine's pretty close on normal wheels but its ok, just make sure the you thread lock the bolts that hold the caliper to the mount as mine shook out caught against wheel weights and made alot of noise luckily no other damage!

yeah iv got loads of little bits like that to check, didnt want to do anything untill i was happy its all running smoothly.

I need some new nuts for the four rear axle studs on each side, gunna have to go renault tomorrow.

  BMW F31
Just read the whole thread!!

i bow down to you sir for having the balls to do the 4 pots on your own, nice one :D

car is absolutely gorgeous too! ;)

  Mondeo TDCI 130
i would mount the discs the other way round, but its one of those "doesn't really matter" type things

It's an ongoing thing that, i thought they should run backwards, but when my discs come from godspeed, they were as above, had O/S & N/S written on them!!!

You got any pics of the anti-rattle plate square on? i can't decide if its on the wrong way!?

i really dont get it, iv got the AP book in front of me now and it says about the way the cooling vanes are ment to be running back from the inside to the out side of the disc ... i just dont get it!

The anti rattle clip is fitted correctly, im not sure if it's ment to be at the bottom as in the pics or at the top of the caliper...

To me that would say there on right! Mine are as yours are, and thats what godspeed man said, and he must know what he's on about!!!

the cooling vanes are inside the discs, not the groves on the face (im not sure what your talking about) so u cant tell from the way the groves are running

theres not a lot of change from £1500

dont start a price discussion in here make ur own one in the brake section if you want and ill happly provide info on the kit!

  Clio 220 lpg
Great thread mate love the brakes, where do you get the steering wheel from I need to replace the one on my rally car and it looks the biz

  1.6 16v
Hi, have to say, this is one of the best projects i have seen in all my life of clio addicted, looking great mate.;)

cheers guys,

rest of the cage is in my loft, will be going in at the end of may.

Seats i cant make up my mind on, recaro pole position or furious or corbeau LE-Drivers will all let me use the normal seat belts for day to day driving, or its the 197 race car seats but i can see myself getting annoyed with winged seats .... also depends on what the funds allow as id rather get some trackday tires/slicks before seats.

  E90
I have OMP Rs seats in the BMW, they weigh about as much as a postage stamp and aint good for your hemmeriods, but they do the job. Get some ex clio cup slicks cheap as chips, but pack spare wheel bearings LOL

  Weeman sucks ****
track slicks on standard seats, really? you'll be in the passenger seat at turn 1!

did you not like the cobras?

It will be great fun!! Cobras were great but sold them because i needed the money, and i think id like seats where i can use the normal seat belts day to day would make life a lot easier.

I can get the slicks that the clio 182 race car used brand new, so its either those or some dunlops or dunlop DZ03G's!

Stud kit from ebay, im not sure what ones yoz sells but if its the 182 race cars ones be ready to spend £200 ish!
shims from anyone who has a race car and has some spare shims, other than that there no longer available brand new. iv still got 30mintue (1/2 degree) ones that im not using but hanging onto for the time being.
