As said better off with just suspension and brakes.
As for peoiple saying get a 172, perhaps he hasnt got much driving experience so doesnt want a fast car incase he bins it, cant afford running costs etc?
I had a bog standard 1.2 and it showed up a certain V6 on here down the twisties, didnt it Ali

exactly, id of been shafterd if id of bought a 172 like i wanted, instead i bought something another 1.2 16v which is in almost mint condition, because of this i have decent amount of cash to play with each month, i would have had no social life with a 172.

lol not being able to run a 172 is the main reason for not wanting one, i like good handling and bein fast through a set of hard twistie's is alot more fun than down a straight,

youd fine it went quite wild tbh, ive stripped the interior of my old expression and IMO it did pull through the revs slightly better, but it was noisy as hell and found it handles like a cow on a skateboard through the corners on the stupid suspension i had back then.

yer ive spoke to k-tec a few times recently, also as alot of u have asked y i plan on doing some weird mods e.g. 1.2 turbo, throttlebodies etc its because i dont plan on getting rid of the car it will be staying with me permenantly so there is no realy budget

i spent thousands on a 1.2 16v before eventually buying a 172.
honestly, i dont regret it one bit was a brilliant car! go for it. im doing a turbo conversion for a mates 1.2 16v in the next couple of months! hes not sure if hes going to source the bits from a TCE or go custom. tbh i wouldnt bother if it was my car as its still only 100bhp (125bhp max probably as its a tiny turbo/plastic manifold etc)

Every one has to start somewere and with insurance prices the way they are it limits you to whats available
I would drop the 1.2 turbo idea - waste of time and money. Just run the 1.2 for 1 / 2 year then upgrade
