cage should be arriving today - i definitely need some new drill bits to fit it. Previously use cobalt with decent results but they don't seem to last long at all.

any recommendations?

Just don't buy Milwaukee ones

I've snapped about 4 of my f*****s. Maybe it's just me though because they go through metal like it's butter🤣

Yep. The glue behind is a barrel of laughs too.
My mate made a right mess getting his off and put a load of scrapper dents in it from the inside.

Fair enough. I just remember my bros Cup having a Satefy Devices dash dodge cage put in and having to get a specialist to fit it with those weld in boxes for quite a large sum.

Depends on the design of the cage. The SD cage for the 197/200 has weld-in feet. They are better in reality, as it strengthens the mounting points, but the body could still split around the welds in theory. It also allows the cage to be mounted more effectively (such as to the sill as well as the floor), rather than having to sit on a relatively flat surface. Motorsport UK/FIA cages well tend to have welded in feet, but half cages like this won't, presumably so people can install them at home.

Good evening at donnington once I got the f**king thing going again. Did 10 laps and came in for a cool down. Then wouldn’t start, not turning over and saying steering not locked. My man @RSRowe coming through with the goods and the guys from open track giving me a bump start did the trick. Guess it’s the starter that’s fucked. Anyway had some great laps at the end with a trophy, 200 and mk4 which made up for the hour I lost. When you’re on it with other cars of the same pace lapping and overtaking it’s a feeling that can’t be beaten ❤️

Got a new starter fitted at my local garage for under £200.

Apparently one of Rear discs has warped slightly causing an annoying squeaking noise when the pad catches it. A bit annoying as the discs are relatively new.

Stripped a bit more out tonight - rear airbags, seatbelts etc Surprising how much trim and plastics there is everywhere

Fixed the squeak too - wasn’t the pads it was the hub that just needed some wd40

I did get a check injection fault whilst driving yesterday , went into limp mode. Sounds like it could be throttle body?

  Whichever has fuel
Please tie your harnesses up. For me. Does that not annoy you flapping around behind you?
