what tar remover are you using?, clay bar/mitt can remove it
I’ve used this on a car once, worked really really well. Also, if you can, hot water.thought and wash my dads car this morning , it's been a while. It also sits underneath a tree and the near side and the roof is covered in tree sap. I washed and used the tar remover and scrubbed as best as i could but there's still a lot sap on the car. Is there anything i can do other than go at it again and again?
I’m using Gyoen Tar, it’s not just spots here and there it’s like a thick layer of it. I’ve gotten most of it off it’s just the stubern left overs. It’s mainly the roof and spoiler that’s leftwhat tar remover are you using?, clay bar/mitt can remove it
Thanks I will take a look at that. Been a very long time since I’ve been on eBay lol. Did you just leave it to dwel for a few mins and wipe off or did it just need a pressure washer to get rid of itI’ve used this on a car once, worked really really well. Also, if you can, hot water.
Car was dry and cold, out of direct sunlight, sprayed it on, left to sit for 2/3 mins, then washed the panels with a bucket of hot water and a microfibre cloth. (They’re more grabby than wash mitts - that was my justification)Thanks I will take a look at that. Been a very long time since I’ve been on eBay lol. I need something ultra hydrophobic that’s plastic clear friendly. My rear screen isn’t heated and coming into the cooler months it makes it impossible to see out of until well into my journey. Any suggestions?
Good shout. It’s been a while since I’ve used that. I’ll order some.Gtechniq G5 can be used on plastics.
Not sure about any of the ceramic offerings with them being solvent based.
Good lads.......

same here. Couple of lads knocking on doors asking if they can wash your car.We had a couple of young lads from our estate offer to wash our cars this summer . Had to politely refuse due to them rocking up with washing up liquid like the above. Still gave them a few quid for offering though.
mmmmmm - dat grit!!same here. Couple of lads knocking on doors asking if they can wash your car.
Someone posted a photo of them doing their car on the local FB group praising them for their initiative. The photo showed them mid wash with their drying towels and sponges on the floor next to the car
Got to start somewhere I suppose.
"Excuse me son, do you have public liability insurance?"mmmmmm - dat grit!!
Many years ago, some kids in our village did this, and one took a brillo pad to some guys car!
We had that this summer on our estate, one of the local valeters caught wind of it and reached out to them giving them some supplies (two buckets with grit guards, shampoo, wheel cleaner, glass cleaner cloths etc) and gave them a lesson on how to clean the cars safely and set them on their way.
Was better than them turning up with a washing up bowl full of pond water and green scouring sponges from their mum's kitchen asking if they can clean my car 😂
Dat bowl cut doeSame round ours. This lad and his mate have been washing them most weekends. There are a couple of detailers on the estate who have gone round and helped them out a few times and recommended them some products to use.
I wouldn’t let them anywhere near mine but it can’t be any worse than the s**t the local hand car washes do

I cleaned the engine bay on my mums car with a bottle of gunk and a hosepipe. Got rid of soooo much grime. This was when chemicals were proper chemicals!!I used to wash a neighbours black ford probe back in the day. Think I did it twice before she kindly said not again lol

Not something g you want to do frequently on a plastic window. They scratch/haze so easily. Much better to avoid that if possible.Surely you just wipe it before you set off?
Have you heard of warm water ?I need something ultra hydrophobic that’s plastic clear friendly. My rear screen isn’t heated and coming into the cooler months it makes it impossible to see out of until well into my journey. Any suggestions?
Doesn't help a foggy rear screen on a renowned leaky car!Have you heard of warm water ?

I’m still stuck in the late 90’s using Rain-X!What's the go to windscreen rain repellant these days? Been years since I've even been in this section and I'm out the loop.

How easy is it to apply and buff off?I love glaco by Soft99 personally but I am hobby car cleaner
I use Angelwax Glass sealant type stuff. H2Go or something? How easy is it to apply and buff off?
I recently went back to G technic windscreen treatment, hadnt used it in years. what a pain in the ass to buff off. Wont be using that again. Rain-x on the other car was nice and easy in comparison.
I just want a nice and easy product.
