I am looking for a oem towbar code for a Skoda Superb mk3 hatch, but can't find it anywhere.

Any site suggestions where to look ?

I did find the estate version, but I doubt that will fit on a hatch/sedane.

This one seems to be compatible.

Otherwise have you rang Skoda?

Looking at the compatibility it says hatch and estate, but the estate version found by me on ebay has a different code.

I will email the above company with my reg to see if it matches, but you might've gave me the right code, and this website never showed in my searches.

I have rang and emailed my local dealer, but the parts person is in holiday, and the replacement guy never came back with a price and code, even after a follow-up.

Think I will try another dealer in person and see what it says, but before that I thought maybe ask here.

Briskoda is not a bad forum to ask tbh. Not as active as here but not completely dead either. A bit more anorak, as well.

To save me searching, are there any decent VW forums worth joining, particularly around older vehicles like the Polo Mk5 R6/R6C?

Hmm might be a nice replacement for me if they actually build it.

I was tempted at the thought of an R400 previously when it was rumoured, and one of the main reasons I chopped my old R in for the RS3 was to get that engine that actually had some character.

Anyone know anything about the Audi 3.0 TDI specifically the ASB variant. I heard chains can be a problem.

My brother has a 2021 Octavia VRS with DSG. He's only had it since the start of the year, but its been a nightmare.

Recently had a fairly expensive bill for some issues with it. Dealership offered him a service package/warranty which he decided to buy back in June.

Over the weekend, started to accelerate and car was stuck in 2nd gear. Skoda have rung him today to tell him its the mechatronics unit. Car is only on 30k. He's decided to f**k it off once its been sorted. Luckily the warranty will cover the work.

I was having a conversation with chatgpt (I'm sad and pathetic like that) about DSG boxes and it came out with the following.........

'DSGs are a bit like dating a supermodel who’s allergic to commitment — looks amazing, gives you a thrill, but one tantrum and you’re on the hook for thousands.'

That could have been written by Dan! I would tag him but I have no clue what his username is now

Every DSG he looks at breaks he needs to get a magic DSG hammer too🤣🤣

Had many DSG cars in our family last 3 of mine Golf GTI's with 6 and 7 speed variants first mk 6 I did 89k in it (its now still going on 160k with a remap for last 80k never one issue.
7.5 gti owned from new 87k miles in 5 years never missed a beat.
Current mk8 gti no issues so far.

2 more DSG cars in family both done 60k plus no issues with dsg.

Brother in law had new KIA its had a new clutch and auto box under warranty its done 18k 2 years old ! found out ut that kia auto boxes and clutch packs are a very common issue.

Just get the extended vw warranty for peace of mind.

Anyone fancy a cheap smoker?

154k, 2 owners, FSH, MOT Aug 26, 25 quid rosd tax, PS5s, Android Auto/Car play, Towbar, 50-60mpg

Bumper and bootlid is a bit rough, it's been a motorway commuter. Cheap to run and had new rear brakes and a bearing done recently.

3k
