Got the Yeti back today. New clutch and Slave Cylinder along with 2 flushes of brake fluid. The DMF looked ok too so I took the gamble and kept it on, it's on 88k.

Car feels great to drive and the clutch feels so much better than before, I suspect the slave was on its way out for a while.

I've had to order a new drivers wing mirror glass as the old one has dropped off, looks like the previous owner had glued on a mirror plate and it's failed over time

Got a thread but will throw my hat Into the ring.
My 3rd mqb car after the 3.5 vrs and cupra st300.
Best one of the lot, however the is38 turbo is miles better than this little is20. And dsg is great for everyday etc but jeez it doesn't half take the hot hatchness out of the car. For what I want though, it's close to perfect.
Went for a 7.5 gti performance over an R, just because gti is the original 'badge' and I think they look better than the R. Also love the tartan seats. The bigger turbo on the R was tempting but after my speeding ban I drive like a granny on the roads now, so would've been pointless. Doubt it'll see any track days too with the dsg lacking involvement.

They are great cars mate. Not the best looking thing on the road but it is great to drive and is a great all rounder.
