Resurrection time, so finished the 2024 season all good and rolled into last year, and got half a day at Mallory in May done and that was it...... Sigh.
So basically, 12 years ago or whatever it was when I scavenged the wiring setup for the car from
@daveski old Iceberg phase 1 172 (130k mile car at the time and would be fair to say, even to Dave, not in the best fettle really but ran fine etc) I was always intending to pop it in the car, get it running, then remove and do a proper job repairing any issues fully, making good and tidying/stripping redundant wires. Obviously I never did and finally 12 years later at Mallory last year something let go in the loom.
Can ran perfectly all morning, stopped for lunch and came back to use it and that was it, wouldn't start for love nor money. Either injectors not firing or no spark, frankly both I think.
Tried everything, bypassing all sorts of parts of the circuits, new key sensors, even borrowed a mates deimmobilised ECU.... Nada.
So that was it, car left on the drive after getting it home on mates trailer. And it's sat there ever since until yesterday when I decided it was time to strip the old loom out and then clean things up.
Next step will be refit new used loom from Wragga and see if the thing will start.
Oh and the alloy supposedly short rad is waaaay to wide for the car, so stock one staying now, lol
More to come.....
Cheers
