Mine were CAMTEC valves, like i say it didnt end well...
Should be noted the headgasket i used and headbolts were both CAMTEC too, and have used them on a couple of engines with no issues at all.
Nice one scotty appreciate that, i have those same fittings but won't be using them. Have changed my order to -10AN as this seems the accepted "no hassle" drain size for a journal bearing turbo with an unrestricted feed.
Other random bits, recieved a nice sheet of Nimbus G2 heatshield material...
Google King components, they are in manchester but they next day delivered them to me for £7. I got this company from f0xy, he used them and so have his mates.
i used them on my F4 rebuild, they supply King bearings, they gaveme F9Q bearings for some reason half the shells were bimetallic ally...
Be my second option i think, im guessing 182 Cup driveshafts dont come up that frequently second hand, and i bet they are ££££££ from renault.
Chip in your experience what oil drain size do smaller turbos (like a T28!), need? My turbo appears to have a threaded hole for its drain, however i...
Dont use pattern part valves, i had a bad experience. I would take the plunge and buy new OE renault valves, or a set of 2nd hand renault valves and spruce them up.
Don't think they are boost orientated cams, and they would perform "uknown", i wanted to sell them as its nice to offset against the cost against the turbo parts :)
This is how my F7 used to react to oil pressure, iirc it was a relatively cold engine so readings were quite high, but you can see how its reactrs very well.

Indeed, the 438 cams are good, but if im honest i never made significant gains over the standard cams, made a gains of about 9bhp and 3ft lb's (with the addition of Ktecs induction kit to), the torque spread was nearly identical. Something strange with my engine in the first place. They also...
New wastegate arrived, it doesnt fit lol, its about twice as big and fouls the compressor outlet hose, and the turnbuckle arm i have is an M6, the new actuator uses a 1/4" UNF thread ffs, spent hours on the net looking for a 1/4" UNF turnbuckle and eventually found one on the Forge...
Thought i best post here :)
Had my cammed cup for a while and enjoyed it, had many different engines in the past with renaults, ITB's e.t.c but never had any boost, a turbo kit came up for sale on here so i bit the bullet, drove to Wales a couple of weeks ago and collected it.
Below is just a...
I replace mine, i bought sensor for £14 of eGay, the pattern part doesnt seem to fit as well it didnt really "click" into place, however it functions perfectly as you would expect it to. Would probably opt for a genuine sensor next time.
Will be the speedo sensor, mine was exactly the same, used to just go up and down as it pleased. Bought some cheapie one from ebay for £15 and it works perfectly.
Ive used black silicon on my exhaust before. Worked wonders, as said no cracking or crumbling away, which we all hate.
Also didn't combust into a fireball when the ehxaust was hot, which is also a bonus ;)
