Looks like oil. I once had a 205 GTI that dumped all its oil into the coolant even worse than that to the point where the pipes were blocked. It had no water in the oil. It was the head gasket.
You need to flush it with a hose, IIRC only 3l comes out from the pipes as normal.
Hi
I've got some King big end bearings to fit and the 2 halves are clearly of different material so I want to make sure I get them the right way around.
The ones that came off had a U on the upper shell i.e. the one that went in the con rod and the other (bottom half) had an S. All the other...
Are you talking about where it is clipped to the subframe?
IIRC I somehow managed to get my fingers into the position to lift up the lock on the clip and pull the damn thing out. It was a PITA though. The connector/clip is the same as the post cat one so can try and figure it out form that...
So what power did it make back as standard?
Everything is moot without that number.
I don't think you'd get anywhere in the courts:
1. It was a cheap conversion anyway.
2. It gained ~30 bhp as would be expected from bodies even if the absolute figure was low.
3. The cam timing was out at the...
I've probably spent more than you and done less!
The reasons I think its better to mod a clio than spend the money on something else:
When you're done with it you can break it to get more money back (more than the modified car all in one piece).
With a relatively cheap shell like a clio if...
There are definitely differences.
Lower are all interchangeable IIRC. You have RS stamped and non stamped. Non stamped being earlier and slightly worse match.
Upper is where the real differences lie. 172 and 182 have different breathing. There may be a difference between 172 ph1 and 172 ph2...
I'm in the process of lowering the sub-frame.
I can't see where I disconnect the steering column from the rack. Is it inside or outside the car?
Thanks
Mark
Fantastic CS advice as ever.
I know what the f**king holes are for.
Should it be a rubber strip or a flat gasket is what I'm asking. Because the pictures in the manual look like it should be flat but they are only illustrations so I don't know if they're accurate or not.
