Yeah pretty easy job. Basically take ur radio out, take the radio surround out, undo the 4 screws (i think) and the panel lifts out.
Its very hard to brake anything so go have a go. When mine went i change it in 10 mins in Halfords car park with a torx screw driver.

Just wondering, have u had new shocks put in? IIRC they redesigned the top mount to fit the new shocks and to me it looks like they put the new shock and top mount in, and also left the circular damper in there...or mayB im talking boll*x :p
Yup!
I bought a set in pretty scratched condition i.e. probably half the wheel curbed on each wheel!
Went down Halfords and got the alloy repair kit they do (£25) and spent a couple of summer days doing them up. Basically you rub them down using emry paper, fill all the groves and chips in...
Just a reminder m8, theres a load of new rules coming in about window tints. Apparently ur not allowed to have the fronts tinted at all or something like that. Someone might no the exact details
Blimey, sounds like u either love or hate the 106?!?!?
I must admit i do like the look of the valver and after seeing one boot it past me on a short bit of dual carriageway the other day im very impressed with the way they go. The only thing thats puts me off is the newest one i could get is...
yeah declared the alloys without any problems. I got the insurance at the end of November so unless theres been a recent change u should be ok? My insurance policy states "non-factory alloys".
And its TPFT.
I had a nice lady on the phone, she said if i put breakdown cover on it reduces the...
seems like a lot of people with very different opinions
think my best bet will be to try them myself and see wot i think.
By the way, which do you think would cost the most on insurance?
I was hoping to be paying in the region of £1000 fully comp.
Thanks
Just wondering which one people would choose on here. Currently driving an RT at the mo but towards the end of the year should have about 5k to spend so looking at both cars. So far the 106 is 1st choice.
From what ive read theyre pretty even speed wise but the 106 has slightly better...
Easiest and cheapest way is to book it in at ur local Nationals.
Had mine done yesterday, cos £15 for the filter and semi-synthetic oil. Cars running loads better now and they done a good job.
Much cleaner than doing it urself :)

Mine does a similar sorta thing. I think its just a case of the air gets blown over the heater matrix a lot quicker on 2 and 3 settings so it dont get as hot.
Also at this time of the year the air needs a lot more warming up.

Hey all
Happy 2k4!
ive got my MOT in the morning and hopefully all should go well :) but the one thing im worried about is emissions.
As ive got a piperx panel filter and a cold air feed is this likely to effect the fueling causing it to run a little bit lean maybe? i was thinking about...
went ur idling u still use fuel!
So if u do 20 miles stop and idle for five mins and do another 20 miles, your fuel average includes the fuel burnt idling, so brings ur average down.
yeah mine seems to be standing up quite well. Its 11 years old and since ive had it in May ive had one leaky shock replace (garage i bought it from paid), the thermostat went, and replaced the front pads and discs. No other probs (gave it usual service of plugs, leads, cap and arm etc but they...
im not an expert, but could it be the clutch?
If the clutch is very very slightly slipping, all that power in first could be causing it to slip a little bit?
Mite be totally wrong though ;-)
