I got my 182 engine for £250 quid cost about 60 to get it shipped down here though so £310 all in. Then fitting unless your doing it yourself?

someone I know said he could fit me a refurbed engine for £1600-£1700 (that was from a renault dealer) but I guess they get discount.

Could also be the coilpack mate, if you want to tell if its the leads or not then wrap some duct tape round them that will stop it arcing on the body. if that fixes it then the leads are dodgy. You can go to ktec and pick up some blue ones for about £60 i think.

Gearbox specialist round here will strip the box and refurb it for 400 which includes labour and oil, but you have too source the parts

yeah what he said, anything of the right grade will be fine just get the one thats most convinient/cheapest/whatever for you.

Its similar drain process to doing the engine oil, if you do a search you will find loads of info. Like caister says deffo worth doing if you havnt already, believe the correct grade is 75-80 and the box takes just over 3 litres but if you search you should find all this easy peasy.

try changing the lube first with some of the recommended grade, unless of course you have already done that? What mileage is it?

At the end of the day you get what you pay for + you might be lucky you might be unlucky. I don think french cars are particulary bad but of course there is better out there if your prepared to spend more (generally speaking)
