that makes no sense lol, you realise it will smooth the rev range alot resulting in more torque lower down and remove the very slight pull at around 5k. If you are concerned I would do a RR but I bet its your head playing tricks with you

You get raped enough anyway I'v never declared mods, then again its a stupid attitude but alot of people dont bother with insurance full stop so meeting half way seems reasonable.
It has some of the same red silicon sealent stuff they use on the rocker cover, but you can just put a little PTFE tape on the thread which will suffice. May be worth draining the system and changing the coolant while your doing this though.
Yeah I'm gunna do that I think, I'm fairly sure its not electrical (as it rises when stopped) the only thing is, is that the alternator needs to come off to get to it so shall I buy a new one before I do the job so I don't have to go through all the hassle of removing alternator again... I mean...
Cheers for the replies fellas, Yeah the top rad hose does get hot (almost too hot to touch). infact the coolant does get hot but not so hot that you cant put your hand in the expansion tank.
The gauge will get to normal if sat still but once you start moving it will always return to the...
Thermostat most likely cause...?
Funny because if I'm sitting in traffic it will rise up the fan will kick in but then when I move off the needle hits the deck again.
I will get the thermostat out at the weekend and have a look anyway but any general ideas appreciated.
If you explain to them exactly why its off ad its only for a day im sure they will understand i have done this before on a similar occasion as long as the coppers reasonable you will be fine
Its the box that controls the climate control if i recall which is right down the back of the dash a b**ch to get to but cheap part im sure someone can elborate more
