It has some of the same red silicon sealent stuff they use on the rocker cover, but you can just put a little PTFE tape on the thread which will suffice. May be worth draining the system and changing the coolant while your doing this though.

Just give the tip a wipe with some electrical cleaner. Tip being the little magnetic bit that points out.
