Completely agree with this list, I have the adaptive suspension and auto, running PS4’s.
I’d want an LSD before I got any more power, but I don’t want any more power so I’m happy with it now.
The steering is utter crap, it’s taken me a year of ownership to become confident driving the car...
Had mine (55U7A) for a couple of years now, really happy with it.
Picture is brilliant, and sound is good too for a flatscreen. The smart system is quite no thrills, but it's got all the catchup apps along with netflix, YT and Amazon which suits my needs, I mainly watch 4K Netflix on it.
The...
The Herald, which I own with a friend, was purchased for £300 and we gave ourselves a budget of £3000 to fix it up. In the 2 years we spent restoring it we spent £12k, and that includes no bodywork and all labour was done ourselves except a couple of hundred quid of machine shop time. We did end...
I'm running the new Eagle F1s on mine. They seem great in all conditions so far but do wear quite fast. But then again coming from the e91 on run flats I'm used to that!
I'm surprised you're back in one! I bought mine a few months ago and read a lot of your posts at the time.
Looks a good spec, except the 5 door 😋 I also made sure I got the spec I wanted and lucked out on a 1 owner one being sold privately just down the road from me. Even though it's not...
Got linked to this by a friend, I miss the meets man! I dunno why anyone would have an issue with you, we def need a meet up again with the classic Yorkshire peeps!
Been looking at TVs for a while now and finally took the plunge and ordered this last night - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302717885710
Currently 10% off AO eBay, so about £580 it was, it comes tomorrow.
Bit of a gamble as it's a brand new model, the first proper review only came out today on...
£21 (or more likely £30) is cheap though, if they sold them they wouldn't be so cheap.
Also, bit of an FYI, but some phones can get a free replacement - https://www.apple.com/uk/support/iphone6s-unexpectedshutdown/
Mine is eligible, finally getting around to taking it in this afternoon.
It can and I think various fan control software just uses SMART to control them.
It would nice if it worked natively though, just a pain having to buy the sensor.

Did you replace the temp sensor or use software to control the fans?
I'm confident doing the work, just too tight to spend £40 on the stupid temp sensor.

Anyone done this on the old fat Imacs? Mine is a mid 2011.
Basically my HDD has gone bang, it's been on it's way out for a while now. I want to upgrade it but it turning out you need a temp sensor like this
Seems overkill money wise for what it is, anyone know a cheaper source of them or had...
Anyone able to let me know if this looks real? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162720851629?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l6346&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI162720851629.N101.S1&autorefresh=true
The box looks different to most I've seen, but some websites have this style box.
Cheers for that, my 2 year old phone is eligible! I have had this restart issue but just presumed it was a software bug as it doesnt happen too often. Should see me another 2 years with this phone now!
Cool, was a nice one that!
I remember when I first saw it for sale myself, I was sitting in the kitchen with a friend and the minute I opened the thread I told her I'm buying it. Shortly after it was mine! Sad to hear it got written off though :(
Gold membership gives a lot of good offers. Every month 2 free 360 and 2 free xbone games. About half a dozen a year are actually decent, for example Project Cars was one the other month.
Gold members also get access to loads of offers, making some of the older games fairly well priced.
Then...
A bit has happened in the last 3 months!
My uncle welded the chassis up. The more we cleaned it up, the more holes we found. Luckily it's now solid!
We have painted it too and it is looking good.
Next up the new suspension went on, Koni shocks, stock springs and a courier spring on the rear...
I am wanting to split the HDMI out of my Sky+ HD box (not SkyQ) to various TV's in the house.
I've bought a powered splitter from Yesss, it's not this one but looks identical - http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/4-way-4k-hdmi-splitter-n67dv
I have one TV next to the sky box, with a 3m cable, another...
More progress was made last night.
We removed the engine:
Turned out a brand new cutch had been fitted by the previous owner:
We also removed the bulk head, this now needs to go to my grandmas up the road for storage while the chassis is worked on:
We then checked over the parts of the...
We are lucky to have family support regarding space, my parents have let me use their garage (after some persuading) for storage of the car and my uncle had kindly let us use his for the restoration (of which he is taking on a fair bit).
Yeh the chassis is good, some has been replaced, some has...
Finally managed to get started on this, we've been collecting various parts over the last few months but still lots more to buy.
We pulled the rear body and bonnet off yesterday to move the chassis and engine to my uncles for work to begin.
Minus the body:
It braved the weather overnight...
I'm thinking of buying my dad a tablet for christmas, but know nothing about Android ones.
An iPad is too much money, and he has a Nexus phone and loves that so I think an Android is the way to go, is this any good? -...
Details are sketchy, he passed away when I was 4 so not heard the story from him, but my uncle was also in the car at the time although he was very young. Car was only a few years old and for some reason they needed to turn around on a mountain pass, he reversed a tad too far and the car went...
The past month or so me and a friend (David) have been talking about getting a classic to restore and eventually take on the Mongol Rally. The Triumph seemed a natural choice, my Grandad ran them and actually crashed his last one in Slovenia back in the 70s after driving over the edge of a...
I pretty much only use Anker cables now, far better quality than Apple and fully certified so they work every time. They seem to top out at 10ft, which is a bit shorter than you wanted but might do?
@DeeKay86 I havent followed any of this, but does this mean new xbox one games might only run on the new scorpio console as of next year? Or will they just run at lower settings on older xbone consoles?
