Thanks, is there anything about these engines you dont know btw?

My last MOT had an advisory saying the pads were low however? How can they check this if there not supposed to take the wheels off :S

DS2500 pads would fail an MOT then techincally, no? But there not sposed to take the wheels off so i guess they'd never notice

Myself wouldnt change them until they need doing - they aint cheap to replace

Change oil + filter Brake fluid + braided lines make sure they got life in them trye pressures Coolant etc.. make sure engine is in good running codition probably lots have been mentioned already but thats what id do

Course you can Preparation and patience is the key! Although having a nice warm spray room spray gun helps alot

On the 2.0 models is there a bleed screw or not? couldnt see one looking the other day but you probably have to remove all sorts to get to it! Will change mine at my 36,000 mile service which is soon but shudnt get to cold down here

If you suspect its the alt, then get a voltmeter on the terminals without the engine running then while running, then check the readings thats will confirm or elimate this possibility then
