I think an AA inspection is a must with something like a cat c/d. If it's repaired well and your not bothered about future values go for it.

Mine is reading 25.2 at the moment but my trip to work is empty country roads followed by crawling town traffic. I did manage 39.9 when I did Bolton -> Dover last August. That involved getting stuck on the M25 so I was quite happy with that.
