Not wishing to put his car down but there are Clios with more power and quicker just dpendds where your definitian of Clio extends to.
There at least one Clio with well over this much power then there the V6 turbo MikeT owners.
I woulnd't buy it what about these instaead
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/324298.htm £500 cheaper sell the NOS etc plus its a 2.0 bottome end which is betteer than a revyy 1.8 for both power and drivabiluty and later mods.
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/338925.htm £1.5k is a lot cheap...
Chipping won't make any real difference.
Startlet is light but the cup should have the edge it does the quarters in about mid 14 seconds the Startlet at about that power your looking at 15 seconds
Do a search but basically yes and no you can make it fit but its not simple there two way one is to swop all the car parts dash etc for a car with that engine the other to rewire the engine bay to run the other engine.
The engine itself will fit no problem same mounts etc its the making it...
Aux belts on cups are dead easy to do.
Drop me a email if you want the cambelt guide
You just need the tools and IMO unless you know what to do don't bother to many havebeen messed up before now.

Some electrics can be swopped
Gearbox well others will fit but none are as strong with the same ratios.
Radiator is different unless your on about a 1.6 with aircon and a 172 cup without air con etc as thee the same.
There no best tyres its all down to choice personaly I say the stock ones Renault fitted the continential premium contract but other prefere F1's each tonthere own there is no best you can easily argue a set of road legals semi slicks are best.
The no amount you need to drop it by stock cars...
Or maybe he just like me woulnd't chnage our minds. If your happy thats all that matters isn't it?
Any setup for those sort of prices isn't going to be very highly invested in though and lower price usually means lower quality under £250 per damper is cheap realy.
Cheaper coils than £260...
Its 197 French hp which when convered to Uk hp its 189 ish,
The 172 and 182 were the same it was realty a few hp less in Uk terms.
A few hp doens't make a huge difference.
The contis have week side walls which is one of there great things IMO gives a nice smooth ride ok so when your on track they cna wear on the side walls near enough but that can be fixed with camber chnages/pressures etc.
The f1's are just seemingly always sticker hence the lower mpg the contis seeminly sticked when you wanted them to ok so they wore out quick but the F1's arn't any better. Then again 10k from a set of fronts is my limit.
Grip on the continetal at break away point is easier to manage I find...
Arr right but that not true its down to how hard the driver throws the car round a 1.2 can put them under the same laods and at the end of the day its the dampers build not there use which is the issue.
