Is that Adi who had the Cliorossa? Welcome by the way :)

    NCB Question!

Let people know why you wish to change over, they might be able to give you best advice. If the discount for 1 year's NCB is less than the saving if you go with someone else, then you might be better off switching.

    Windscreen

Any car glazing place should be able to get you one...but I wouldn't be able to help on price. Think yours is the blue/purple tint (rather than green which is non CC on standard models). Just try Autoglass, RAC windscreens, see what prices they charge...maybe try GSF car parts over in Fort...

Help Re Glass & Insurance - Urgent

It won't affect your NCB (if you have glass cover - need to check about rear screen though). It just won't make your premium any cheaper next year!

another new problem with the new 172 lol

Is it more like a ticking (more so when stopped)? If so, then could be the carbon cannistor although that is behind the passenger side fog light.

    Cup - weight loss plan

The Cup bits will overall weigh less than the equivalent FF model as they're already cheaper/lighter in the Cup. It is the best way to improve overall horsepower (ie BHp per ton) as you're car will have same performance but weigh less. It really depends on how extreme you want to be...will...

New F. Bumper and Bonnet - 172 Cup

I'm gonna blend in the washer jet holes like you have, seen the other thread and think it looks nice. :approve:

New F. Bumper and Bonnet - 172 Cup

My old driver's wing was smashed by a Car battery (don't ask)...cost best part of £600 to replace inner and outer wing and spray/blend. Since then, the lacquer hasn't been the best at staying intact...wonder whether the battery acid may still be doing damage (or done the damage, just waiting...

    Rumbling

If its the wheel bearing, you can tell by driving the car at say 30mph (enough speed to hear the noise) then putting the car in neutral while still...if the noise continues, its the bearing!

New F. Bumper and Bonnet - 172 Cup

No fella...there is a shedload of lacquer peel on the front end. The car from base of windscreen backwards is brilliant condition paintwork wise, but the front quarter is peeling badly. The car is 5 years old next month with 91,000 on it...but even still, the overall front end looks poor!

New F. Bumper and Bonnet - 172 Cup

Cheers for that, its just that I'm trying to get a price, as with the imperfections on my bonnet and bumper, I'm tempted to say stuff it, replace them, then get them done. At least the finish should be perfect...rather than whats on there now.

New F. Bumper and Bonnet - 172 Cup

I'm wondering if anyone can get me the price of a new Front Bumper and Bonnet for a 172Cup. If they are already painted Mondiale Blue (then all the better, but if not, then just let me know on the price) My front end is looking even worse (lacquer peel and stone chips) and just wondering if...

    Remap or superchip?

Theres a place in Broseley that has its own rollers, they charge £45 per hour labour for whatever you require and can do a before and after dyno run if needsbe. I've not got the address...but I've got the guys number...if you want it, PM me.

    oil

Fully is better, but semi is fine too...obviously the more you pay, the better it should be. Just don't get the cheapie stuff! (tesco's 5litres for a couple of quid!)
  17. Don

    oil

    10w 40 or 5w40 depending on who you ask...but Renault use 10w40.

    Rear fog light when braking

Some people use it...I'm not a fan...but as you see fit. ;) I haven't used it on mine, but the issue does recurr every so often.

    Rear fog light when braking

Both sides???? Just get a nail file or sandpaper and run it over each one of the prong (connections), then see if it happens. ;)
  21. Don

    Rear fog light when braking

Check the connections to the rear light on the right hand side. Then what I've said in the post above should suffice.
  22. Don

    Rear fog light when braking

Its because the connection earths through the foglight. Check the terminals (there should normally be some form of corrosion on them) then remove it with nail file, dremel, etc. all should be fine. Its the crap design of the light clusters that allows water in there. Some people reckon to...

    broken rubber

Any exhaust fitter should be able to sort it for a few quid. Is yours the standard Renault one, or is it something aftermarket that you've put on?

    Rolling road queries ?

The Cups made better figures than the FFs as the Aircon/CC appears to sap a couple of Horses. The 172/182 figure is not Horsepower as many people think, its PS (german equivalent to Horsepower) it works out at 169Bhp @ the fly on a 172 and 179Bhp @ fly for a 182. Some of the cars do appear...

    new to clio's

Which part of the Midlands are you from? There is a place near Wolves called Four Ashes (Used to be ClioSpares) they can get most things either from a donor vehicle, or can get them in from Renault at a bit cheaper price than the dealerships. If you are near Wolverhampton, give me a PM and...

    Hey from Wolves

Hi Fella, Welcome to CS. When you are talking about Telford and Cannock are you on about KT? We're not a part of that, we have (in the majority) Clios and meet up every now and again for a laugh, drink, bite to eat and maybe do something a bit different.

    Rolling road queries ?

The 182 Manifold will just make mid-range easier/better...don't expect miracles with it, it will be better, just not as big a BHp increase as some people would imagine. Kully had Viper i/k, sports cat, remap, ports matched and 182 mani and came out with around 186BHp on his 172 Cup IIRC.

^^^Shocking ;) Welcome to the club guys, the meet is over the weekend of the 27th/28th September (so the date is pretty much covered). Don't worry fella. I just thought I'd let you know that we have meets as do most regions. Although saying that, we had one of the members a while back...
