There no best place Renault you could argue are best.
Only way to know what type for definate is to strip the hub off. There are 2 types which are for the larger drum the other is for the smaller drum. There only 1 type though ever used on the lar drum realy talk to halfords/Renault etc...
1. Learn to drive the car
2. Ensure cars in good condition ie regular good services etc.
3. Good tyres.
4. Leda coilovers
5. Exhaust (if you like that sort of thing)
6. Intake manifold work
7. On a 172 a decat/sport cat
8. Remap
9. Brakes (although assumes that number 2 in good condition...

Common Clio problems...
There not badly priced but it would be a wild guess at about £30 for a bottle.
The idea of the lower level for the windscreen was so you'll always be in theory able t clean the windscreen even if like this the other pump fails or the pipes leak.
If I add someone else as a named driver on my policy and I crashed and made a claim.. would this in any way affect the named drivers own policy and their no claims on another car?

Theres loads of mistakes in company insureance hene if they mess up go and insure the car by the detail ie built by renault not the registration.
I know a few cars which are complety wronly registered ie built as 172 and 1.6 registered for some reason by dealers by mistake.

You don't seem to get the concept of fit for purpose. Its its the right approvals then its OK.
I take it you have done much work on oil technologie/ability to know what is good and right for your car and you've worked with or are the Renault design team engineer...
A proper 172/182 look alike body wise is expensive unless you shop round for used bit Renault list price fo the 172 body kits as such is £2k.
You need the bumper and the wngs and the arch liners realy to do it properly then you need the side skirts as they matych the wing etc
